In the field of education,more and more researchers are beginning to pay attention to Design Thinking,In Design Thinking course,prototyping,plays an important role in design thinking.Iteration is one of the most basic features of the prototyping process,critical to prototyping in the Design Thinking curriculum and having unique potential to benefit students.The study is composed of the following processes: Design and carry out the experiment of iterative tendency teaching,Collect data related to the process of prototype design and production,including the number of iterations of the prototyping,the time of the first iteration,and the final prototype performance.Study the relationship between students' spontaneous iteration tendency and prototype performance;Using the experimental conclusion and related theories as the basis,try to design iterative intervention method of the Design Thinking course in the prototype design and production process,prove effectiveness of fusion iterative intervention teaching through iterative intervention contrast experiment;and study the influence of iterative intervention on students' attitude towards failure and engineering design self-efficacy.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)In the Design Thinking course,early iterative testing can affect and promote the performance of the prototype;(2)Based on the above-mentioned conclusion and under the guidance of relevant theories,The study designed the iterative intervention method in the prototype design and production process of the Design Thinking course;(3)The Design Thinking course of fusion iterative intervention can promote the performance of the prototype;meanwhile,students who face failure can learn from failure and tend to show greater selfconfidence in the prototype design of engineering design.
