This paper takes the acquisition of Chinese verb reduplication in primary and middle school students of Cambodia's Heng Tong Chinese School as the research object.Through the investigation of the learner's acquisition order of verb reduplication,give the suggestions of the arrangement of grammatical knowledge in Chinese textbooks in Cambodian Chinese school;through the investigation of learner's frequency of use of verb reduplication,it is found that learners have a fear of difficulty when using Chinese verb reduplication;through the inspection of learner's verb reduplication error types,it is found that learner verb reduplicating syntactic function errors are more common.Based on the corpus analysis and questionnaire survey,this paper has learned that Cambodian middle school students and primary school students have maintained the same order in the acquisition of monosyllabic verb reduplication.Both of them are the first to acquire the“AA” pattern,and then the “A yi A” pattern,and finally learned “A le A”pattern.The learning time of Chinese learners is positively correlated with the correct usage rate.That is to say,as the learning time increases,the correct usage rate of these three patterns also increases.The order of acquisition of disyllable verb reduplication for primary school students is“ABAB” pattern,“AB le AB” pattern,and “AAB” pattern.The order of acquisition of disyllable verb reduplication for middle school students is“ABAB” pattern,“AAB” pattern,and “AB le AB” pattern.Through the investigation of the “CHINESE” series of textbooks used by the Cambodian Chinese School and compiled by the Cambodian Chinese Council,it is found that although the frequency of verb reduplication in the textbook is very high,there is no grammar explanation and grammar exercises about verb reduplication in the textbook.So that students often avoid using verb reduplication or replace with their mother tongue in language communication.This paper combines the learners' acquisition of the error type of verb reduplication,and proposes thinking about improving the teaching and learning of Chinese verb reduplication for Cambodian primary and middle school students from four aspects:requirements for teachers,requirements for students,main functions of the school,and the compilation of teaching materials.
