With the development of the new curriculum reform and the three-level curriculum management system,the curriculum leadership responsibilities of the secondary school principals have become clearer,and higher requirements have been put forward for the curriculum leadership of the secondary school principals.This research takes the rural junior middle school principals in A province as the research object,through the questionnaire,the interview,the investigation of the headmaster curriculum leadership,finds out the present situation and the main question,This paper analyzes the influencing factors and comes up with the strategies to improve the leadership of rural junior high school principals.The survey found that the overall level of curriculum leadership of rural junior middle school principals is not high,the existing problems are: curriculum leadership awareness is weak,curriculum professional knowledge is relatively inadequate;The curriculum development ability is insufficient,the curriculum resources integration ability is insufficient,the curriculum development enthusiasm is lacking,the teachers are insufficient to implement the curriculum will and ability,and the curriculum system is not effective.In terms of curriculum evaluation it emphasizes "supervision" rather than "guidance",the method is single,and much attention is paid to the final evaluation.The results show that there are three factors that influence the leadership of the principal’s curriculum: the headmaster’s individual,the school and the society.The personal influencing factors of headmaster include: psychological factor of headmaster and professional factor of principal curriculum.School impact factors include: school environment and management,teachers and students.Social factors include: education administration and parents.The main strategies to improve the curriculum leadership of rural junior middle school principals are as follows: first,strengthen learning and promote curriculum planning.It includes strengthening learning curriculum knowledge,improving curriculum leadership consciousness,strengthening learning curriculum knowledge and improving planning ability.Second,strengthen research and enhance curriculum development.Including excavating local resources,developing school-based curriculum,constructing development team,developing curriculum according to order.Third,go deep into the classroom to improve the implementation of the curriculum.Including strengthening curriculum training,building a learning team;the principal participating in the whole course,guiding the implementation of the curriculum.Fourth,strengthen supervision,improve curriculum evaluation power and so on.It includes the establishment of scientific evaluation criteria and the construction of multiple evaluation methods.
