With the popularization of the unified edition of Chinese textbooks,more and more attention has been paid to the teaching of "oral communication".The teaching objectives of oral communication in each section of the compulsory education language curriculum standard have been clearly put forward.Therefore,on the premise of teaching with the textbooks as the main curriculum resources,as teachers,we should strive to tap valuable educational resources to exercise students' oral communication ability.Picture books have distinct characteristics and can be used as supplementary resources of textbooks to solve the problems of lack of situation and monotonous content in oral communication teaching.This study is divided into four parts:The first part mainly analyses the two core concepts of "picture book" and "oral communication" as well as the research and comment on picture book teaching at home and abroad.The second part explores the characteristics of picture books,the value of language education embodied in picture books,and puts forward the rationality of "picture books" as a supplementary resource of oral communication teaching in primary schools,which is of significance and value to improve the oral communication ability of lower grade students in primary schools.The third part reveals the current situation of oral communication teaching based on picture books in junior primary school through actual investigation,presenting the conclusion of the investigation and attribution analysis.The fourth part is the focus of the whole study.According to the current situation of oral communication teaching,this paper studies the teaching strategies of oral communication in primary schools based on picture books.It elaborates on the selection strategies,interpretation strategies and teaching implementation strategies of picture books,and provides corresponding practical cases.Through this study,we mainly integrate picture book resources into oral communication teaching in primary schools,so as to solve the current problems in oral communication teaching in primary schools,stimulate the expression of willingness of lower primary school students,and improve their oral communication ability.At the practical level,it provides the first-line language teachers with the feasible help of oral communication teaching based on picture books.
