As is known to all,children's picture books are very popular among primary school students because of their excellent illustrations accompanying texts,vivid images and good intelligibility.Cultivation of oral expression ability of junior grade students in primary school is one of the important contents of primary school Chinese teaching.Therefore,in recent years,more and more teachers have realized the importance of picture books in primary school Chinese teaching,and introduced them as the important teaching resources into the teaching practice of primary school Chinese listening,speaking,reading and writing.Some teachers treat picture books as an important means to cultivate the oral expression ability of the junior grade primary school students.However,there are many problems in the process of the oral expression teaching with picture books.For example,the selection of picture books is not accurate enough,the teaching strategies are not scientific enough,and the teaching forms are relatively monotonous,etc.Based on the teaching practice,especially the problems found in the process of picture books teaching for oral expression,the author puts forward some specific methods and strategies.In order to cultivate the integrity,accuracy and logicality of students' oral expression,suitable picture books should be chosen for children;the contents suitable for oral expression teaching in children's picture books should be paid attention to;via created content,designed ingenious questions,students should be guided to observe the inner connection in the pictures.Via proposing the series of strategies,itis expected to provide the necessary help for the teaching practice of oral expression and the improvement of students' oral expression ability.The main contents of this paper include the following parts:Introduction part: the author elaborates the basis and significance of topic selection;the research status at home and abroad;the concept definition;the research methods and ideas;contents of the thesis.The first part of the thesis: based on the establishment of the concepts and basic characteristics of picture books,children's picture books and oral expression,the author discusses the importance of children's picture books for the cultivation of junior grade students' oral expression ability.The author also explores the three theoretical bases of children's picture books applied in the teaching of junior grade students' oral expression in primary schools,namely,children's psychology,cognitive linguistics and Chinese pedagogy.On this basis,the author expounds the significance of children's picture books for the cultivation of oral expression ability of junior grade primary school students.The second part of the thesis: the author does an investigation and analysis of the current situation of the cultivation of the oral expression ability of the junior grade students in the primary school in which the author works as a teacher.First the author designs the questionnaire,then summarizes the survey results,and analyzes the current situation and problems of the oral expression teaching in primary school.The third part of the thesis: the author puts forward the specific implementation strategies of applying picture books to cultivate oral expression ability of junior grades students in primary school.In practical teaching of oral expression ability cultivation of junior grades students in primary school,picture books should be applied to stimulate desire of students' oral expression,and cultivate integrity and accuracy of students' oral expression as well as richness and logicality of students' oralexpression.
