With the acceleration of urbanization in China,a large number of people pour int o the city.However,the shortage of teachers and the limited educational conditions le ad to the expansion of class size.The large size of the class and the large number of students have caused many problems,such as the difficulty of taking into account th e differences of students,the difficulty of class management,the lack of enthusiasm f or teachers' work and so on.These problems have seriously affected the physical and mental development of students and teachers as well as the improvement of mathema tics teaching quality.Therefore,how to master the classroom teaching of large class si ze and how to improve the teaching quality of large class size have become a proble m that primary school mathematics teachers must face and think about under the new situation.At present,a new round of reforms in mathematics curriculum has been gradually deepened and the concept of "independence,cooperation and inquiry" has been consta ntly attached importance to in primary school mathematics teaching.Group Cooperativ e Learning,which has unique advantages in improving classroom teaching effect and promoting the growth and development of students,has been widely regared by teache rs as an effective way to improve classroom teaching.If Group Cooperative Learning is used properly,it will contribute to the improvement of the overall teaching level an d the smooth proceeding of classroom teaching.The purpose of this paper is to try and explore the learning strategies of group c ooperative learning in view of the specific situation of our school,starting from the a ctual work,in order to solve the contradiction between primary school mathematics te aching and group cooperation under the condition of large class sizes,so as to better reflect the principal position of students,alleviate the pressure of teachers and improve the quality of teaching.Firstly,this paper analyses the problems existing in the teach ing of mathematics in primary schools under the condition of large class sizes.These problems include: teachers can not "student-oriented",can not "teach students in accordance with their aptitude",lack of humanistic care in the classroom,teachers' professio nal development is limited,and the reasons for the problems are analyzed.After a bri ef review of the related research on group cooperation,the author thinks that group c ooperation learning is a possible way to improve the teaching quality of large class.On this basis,three rounds of action research on group cooperation learning of large class primary school mathematics are carried out.These three action studies are interli nked,progressive,deepening research one by one,and students' enthusiasm.And the eff ectiveness of classroom teaching has been significantly improved.Finally,it summarize s five strategies of large class primary school mathematics group cooperative learning:scientific formation of learning groups,careful selection of teaching content,formulati on of group learning rules,formation of "group in group" and improvement of evaluat ion mechanism.This theory and practice combined with research ideas to verify the fe asibility and effectiveness of group cooperative learning in large class of primary scho ol mathematics classroom.
