School life is an important part of teachers’ personal life.It is of great significance to study teachers’ school life style for improving the quality and level of teachers’ work.With the increasing attention of the country to rural basic education,the actual school life style of rural teachers under such a policy background deserves our attention and research.Among the special group of rural teachers,rural retired female teachers are a very special group.Retirement refers to the retirement of workers when they reach the legal retirement age.Retirement is determined by the natural law of people’s life and labor process,and it is inevitable for anyone.Throughout the research on the subject of retirement,there are many studies on the post-retirement groups,but but very few on the groups near retirement.This study selects three female teachers who are about to retire as the research objects,adopts the narrative research method supplemented by observation method and in-depth interview method to present a panoramic view of their school life "one day",and explores what problems exist in their school life,why these problems exist and how to deal with them.This research is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the “one day” of the school life of three rural retired female teachers.In this part,through the study of the school life of the three female teachers in this special period before retirement,the author narrates their eight hours’ life in school through "deep description",and records their real life in terms of time and space.The second part is "inner monologue".In this part,through the inner interpretation of the "individual" of the three female teachers,we can deeply analyze what difficulties the three female teachers encounter during the special period of retirement and why they encounter such difficulties.Through self-examination of the three female teachers,we can show the unique school life of the three female teachers.The third part is the reflection in the field.In this part,the author extracts the common and individuality problems of the three female teachers’ school life styles through the self-monologue of the three female teachers in the previous part,and through the analysis of the problems,finds out the causes of these problems,and finally puts forward the direction of improvement according to their own perceptions;the fourth part is the end.In this part,the author mainly expresses his feelings in the way of concluding remarks,elaborates on the harvest he has gained in the study,and reviews his shortcomings.This paper takes the rural retired female teachers as the research object,aiming at improving their living conditions in pre-retirement schools,which has a certain practical significance for improving the quality of their pre-retirement work.At the same time,because there are very few studies on this group,this paper has some reference significance for future research on this group.
