The Research On Case Work Intervention Of Depression In Urban Empty Nest Elderly

With the advent of aging and empty nest society,the health status and quality of life of the elderly are concerned by the wider society.In order to solve the needs and problems that accompany the aging phenomenon and help the urban empty nesters get a happy life,the mental state of urban empty nesters is getting more and more attention from all walks of life.Depression is a common psychological manifestation of urban empty nesters and should be alleviated.To alleviate the depression of the elderly in urban empty nests,we need to pay full attention to their problems not only at the spiritual and physical levels,but also in all aspects.In particular,there are various aspects of urban empty-nest elderly people who have depression.Through the study of the existing literature,it can be found that most experts and scholars mainly focus on the diagnosis,etiology,clinical characteristics,treatment and nursing of depression in the elderly.There are few studies on the depression of the elderly in urban empty nests.In particular,there are few studies on the emotional and spiritual aspects of depression and social integration in urban empty nesters.In a few literature studies,most of them look at the intervention of social work in the depression of the urban empty nest elderly from a macro point of view,and only put forward some related models and working methods.There is no in-depth analysis of direct services,especially how to improve the emergence of older persons Practical methods and goals in depression.Every empty nester with depression has different problems and social environments.Therefore,when using the intervention method of casework to intervene the depression of the urban empty nest elderly,it is necessary to use the case method which is very operational and analyze its actual situation in detail.And also targeted to develop appropriate service methods.By consulting the relevant literature,participating in observation and case interview,this paper analyzes the causes of depression in the urban empty nest elderly and formulates the corresponding service plan based on the author’s work experience in the community.And then use the hands of casework.Methods and techniques were used to intervene in depression of the elderly with empty nests in cities.This article takes the grandmother Li of the A community in Nanchang as the representative and takes the case work method intervention in social work to alleviate the depression of Li grandma.The purpose of this paper is to help Li grandma relieve her depression,help Li grandma build self-confidence,help Li grandma rebuild herrelationship,and find the strengths of Li ’ s personal strength,help her rebuild the support system,and enable Li’s grandmother to find a happy old age.aims.Through research,it is found that for urban empty-nest elderly people with depression,family support,peer group support and social support play a very important role.Therefore,the author believes that in the process of casework intervention in the depression of urban empty nesters,the relationship between Li grandma’s peer group and family members should be fully utilized to help them relieve depression.In this way,some experiences and deficiencies were found in the case work to intervene in the depression of urban empty nesters.
