Zhou Dunyi was a great thinker and philosopher in Chinese history.Although he was an official all his life,he attached great importance to education.In his thoughts,there were rich educational ethics.Starting from the historical background of the formation of zhou Dunyi's educational ethical thoughts,this paper sorts out and expounds the basic contents of zhou Dunyi's educational ethical thoughts,and then makes a comprehensive review of zhou Dunyi's educational ethical thoughts and explores its contemporary value,which provides positive theoretical thinking for China's education.It discuss that educational ethics from the follow sections.The first part discusses the background of the formation of Zhou Dunyi and his thoughts on education ethics from economy,politics and ideological culture aspects.The second part analyzes the philosophical basis of Zhou Dunyi's moral education thought in detail,including ontology,human nature and moral cultivation.The third part probes into the aim,content,principle and practice mechanism of educational ethics to reveal the connotation of Zhou Dunyi's educational ethics.For example,the content of education ethics,which is based on benevolence and righteousness,centered on sincerity and supplemented by rites and music;To pragmatic,no desire,pure heart and the principle of education ethics.The fourth part makes an overall review of zhou dunyi's thoughts,reveals the characteristics and historical contribution of zhou dunyi's thoughts on education ethics,and then discusses the value reflection of his thoughts on the contemporary era,such as practicing the moral values based on sincerity,valuing harmony promote harmonious development.
