As our country pays more and more attention to the vocational education,the development of vocational education in our country is fast,and there are also problems in the course of the development of the secondary vocational education,such as the problem that the teaching mode is single and the teaching effect is not good in web design courses at present.STEAM Education is one of the ways to solve the problems existing in the teaching of secondary vocational education.STEAM is the abbreviation of five English words: Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts and Mathematics.STEAM education concept refers to a kind of interdisciplinary and comprehensive teaching method.It aims to cultivate students' practical ability and problem-solving ability with the idea of integrating their interdisciplinary knowledge with real life,and making efforts to cultivate students' practical ability and problem-solving ability.It is emphasized that on the basis of mastering the knowledge of different subjects,the students' ability of team cooperation and problem solving can be improved by means of modern information technology tools.The paper based on the study of the literature on the web design course in China,sorts out the literature on the concept of STEAM education at domestic and abroad,and then analyzes the connotation and relationship of the core elements of STEAM.According to the course contents of "Web Design" and the learning characteristics of secondary vocational school students,constructed the teaching mode of "Web Design" course based on the concept of STEAM education.Select the content of enterprise website construction in web design course expansion chapter.Designed a teaching design for the lighting production enterprise web design project based on STEAM education concept,and put the teaching design into practice.Taking 50 students majoring in e-commerce in grade 2017 of Jiangmen NO.1Vocational High School as the experimental object,it is evaluated from four aspects: students' interest in web design course,students' of knowledge and skills of web design course,students' team cooperation learning ability and students' interdisciplinary problem solving ability,analyzed the changes of the students' after learning of the web design course project based on the STEAM education concept.According to the actual application effect of the instructional design,the following conclusions are drawn: Students majoring in e-commerce in secondary vocational schools have significantly increased their interest in the course of "Web Design",and the ability of students to work together in a team has been enhanced,master professional curriculum knowledge and skills after learning the course based on the concept of STEAM education.In addition,according to the data of the teaching satisfaction questionnaire and the analysis of the results of the interview,the students in grade 17e-commerce class have a higher preference and satisfaction in the implementation of the teaching design.
