Since primary school students entered the middle and upper grades of primary school, mathematics problems have become more and more complicated and more and more difficult. If they continue to use arithmetic methods to solve problems, more and more students are showing discomfort and difficulty. Most of the fifth-grade students are 10 or 11 years old, they have a certain amount of algebraic thinking at this age. Therefore, this thesis conducts research on the ability to solve primary school students’ mathematics problem solving based on equations. This paper uses a control experiment to verify whether the equation method has an advantage in solving more complex mathematical problems.Through questionnaire surveys of students and interviews with teachers, the author discovered the problems that existed when using mathematical equations to solve mathematical problems.Primary school students can’t understand the meaning of the problem correctly, they can’t accurately find equal quantity relationships,so they can’t list equal quantity relationships;they can’t list the equations and they can’t solve the equations;they can’t write the steps when solving the equations;when some teachers explain equation, they do not pay attention to the connection between numbers and algebra.Combining teaching action research, student questionnaire analysis and teacher interview analysis, the author puts forward five strategies based on equations to cultivate primary school students’ mathematics problem solving ability from two aspects of student learning and teacher teaching. The first strategy is to improve the mathematics reading ability of primary school students;the second is to solve the equations skillfully;the third is to master the steps to solve the problem using the equation method;the fourth is to design the teaching process based on equations to solve mathematical problems;the fifth is proper practice and long-term training. |
