With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,higher requirements are put forward for geography teachers,requiring geography teachers to keep pace with the times,innovate classroom teaching methods,and deepen the application of information technology.Geography is a discipline with both arts and sciences.It has the characteristics of comprehensiveness,space and regionality.Especially the content of natural geography modules is abstract and difficult.Therefore,the breakthrough of teaching difficulties in high school physical geography teaching has become a vast geography.Teachers continue to explore issues.The development of information technology has provided a new way to break through the difficult points of physical geography teaching,and has also become the aid of geography teaching reform.A thruster.In the classroom,through the means of information technology,geography teaching difficulties will be displayed more intuitively and vividly,which will help students to break through the difficult points of geography teaching.However,how to apply information technology to break through the difficult points of physical geography teaching is a problem that modern geography teachers need to think about.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the application of information technology in the difficult breakthrough of physical geography teaching in senior high schools.This paper expounds the connotation of information technology and geography teaching difficulties by means of literature research.Based on the present situation of information technology in the breakthrough of geography teaching difficulties,this paper finds out the research foundation and cut-in point of this research.And through the analysis of the status quo of the study to provide an observation dimension for the observation of high-quality class cases.The text analysis method and expert consultation method are used to summarize and sort out the teaching difficulties of geography compulsory course in senior high school.According to the classification theory of geography knowledge,the geography teaching difficulties are classified,which lays the foundation for the analysis of the present situation and the proposal of strategies.By using the method of case study and interview,it is difficult to obtain high-quality information technology in the teaching of physical geography in senior high school.The application situation in the point,thus provides the support for the high school physical geography teaching geography teaching difficulties,combined with the results of case analysis,the paper puts forward the specific strategy of using information technology to break through the difficulties of geography teaching: focus on creating situation;strengthen the combination of information technology and three boards;Choose different information technology presentation methods.In addition,the use of advanced VR and other geographic information technology is also conducive to the breakthrough of geography teaching difficulties.The innovation of the thesis lies in the innovation of research perspectives and
