In recent years,the frequent occurrence of school bullying in junior middle schools has become a serious social problem,which has aroused widespread concern in the society and has also attracted the attention of relevant scholars.School bullying not only seriously affects students' physical and mental health,but also affects the normal teaching order of the school.It also brings serious harm to social security and stability.This study investigated 362 students from 3 junior middle schools in Hanzhong City,Shaanxi Province,mainly based on questionnaires.The status of school bullying was investigated from the aspects of bullying,being bullied,uninvolved and school intervention,including the frequency,location and harm;the distribution,characteristics,behavioral reasons and inner feelings of the bully;the characteristics and behavior of the bullied responses,trust objects,and grade characteristics;attitudes of uninvolved people to school bullying and school intervention.According to the survey results,the basic characteristics of school bullying in junior middle school and the roles in the bullying incident are discussed and analyzed.The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)campus bullying has the characteristics of form diversity,repetition,concealment,harmfulness and imbalance of power between the two sides;(2)the main reason for the occurrence of bullying in junior middle school is the deviation of students' attitudes;(3)school bullying sites are mainly poorly monitored places;(4)bullying incidents have a greater impact on the physical and mental health of the bullied;(5)junior middle school boys are more likely to be involved in bullying than girls;(6)with age increasing,the rate of bullying of junior middle school students is declining;(7)students' attitude towards bullying is positive.Based on the above conclusions,this study proposes that we should comprehensively prevent and control campus bullying from a global perspective,fully mobilize the initiative of society,families,schools and individual students,and jointly solve the problem of campus bullying.Relevant departments of the society improve and formulate measures for protection and punishment,strengthen the construction of social and cultural environment,and strengthen the governance around the school.Schools should improve relevant management systems,establish and improve bullying mechanisms,strengthen campus safety education,legal education,attach importance to moral education,develop true quality education,cultivate students' interpersonal skills,and improve self-protection awareness and ability.At the same time,the school should also strengthen the construction of campus culture,pay attention to students' mental health education,and provide psychological counseling and counseling for students.Parents should optimize family education,communicate with children equally,cultivate children's hobbies and self-esteem,and make children develop healthily.Individual students must also raise their legal awareness,improve their moral literacy,and establish good partnerships to stay away from school bullying.
