The Study On The Predicament And Solution Strategy Of Women In Seeking For Anti-domestic Resources

Domestic violence is a social problem that prevails on a global scale,which usually refers to violence,such as physical,mental,sexual abuse and behavioral control,between membersof the family.The study of domestic violence by Chinese scholars began in the 1990s with the China-US Women's Seminar and the World Women's Congress Regional Forum.Since then,domestic violence has officially become an academic issue in China and has received the attention of the state and related functional departments.After nearly 40 years of development,China's anti-domestic violence has become increasingly perfected.However,there are still many women who are unable to obtain the anti-domestic violence resources around them.The lack of implementation of institutes for abused women at the macro level has brought them into the predicament,and anti-domestic violence resources in community-level is still incomplete.Thus abused women can only use certain resources,even some female victims are still in a state of helplessness.At the micro level,weak informal supports also stop them from fully utilizing the role of relevant rescue resources.In the long run,it will cause great damages to their physical and mental health.In order to explore the resource acquisition dilemma of the violent women at the macro,meso and micro level,and improve the service quality of social work,this study uses the semi-structured interview method and the participatory observation method in the qualitative research paradigm,selecting S-zone anti-domestic aid center in Xiamen City,Fujian Province as a specific space for research.At the same time,according to the analysis framework of the ecosystem theory,2 social workers and 12 female victims of domestic violence were selected as research objects.The research is mainly carried out from the following three parts:Firstly,through the analysis and arrangement of the anti-domestic violence resources in the existing macro,meso and micro system levels in the S area,this study concludes that the anti-domestic violence resources at the macro-system level are mainly composed of the Marriage Law and the Anti-domestic Violence Law.At the meso-system level,the helping resources of women in S-zone are mainly S-party women's federations,community women's federations,street police stations and Xiamen rescue management stations.At the micro-system level,the helping resources of women in S-zone are mainly informal support networks such as families,relatives and friends.Secondly,this study finds that,at the macro-system level,women in S-zone are mainly influenced by strong patriarchal ideas,traditional family culture concepts and legal resources.The resource acquisition dilemma at meso-system level of is mainly reflected in the mismatch between the physical resources and human resources for abused women,and the lack of publicity and education in the community,inappropriate response to the violence against the women from the networks.At the same time,this study finds that at the micro-system level,the fear of the perpetrators,economic and emotional attachment to the perpetrators and weak social support will affect their motivations for reporting,generating difficulties in obtaining anti-domestic resources.Finally,this study explores the solution for addressing these dilemmas from the perspectives of social advocacy,community education and social support construction.First,social workers can intervene in social advocacy to improve the implementation of anti-domestic violence system resources,construct a stable volunteer service team and form a multi-department linkage protection mechanism against domestic violence.Second,social workers can start with community education,carry out gender and family culture education in new age in the community,promote the knowledges of anti-domestic violence and anti-domestic violence resources to alleviate the shortage of resources for abused women who are mostly influenced by traditional social culture and less community propaganda and education.Third,social workers can provide services from family support,neighborhood support and peer support to help violent women build informal support networks and get rid of resource dilemmas.
