With the pilot implementation of college entrance examination reform in Shanghai and Zhejiang province,the reform proposal of new college entrance examination arouses wide attention of society.College entrance examination for its association with higher education and elementary education is the core hub of national education system,which plays an important role of explicit and intensive guidance in elementary education.Which aspects of changes does the practice of new college entrance examination bring to high school teaching and learning?Do the results live up to the expectations?Does the reform effectively reduce study stress of high school students?Does it help to promote comprehensive development and growth of students?This requires us to take students' stand and delve into the genuine impact on their learning states after the implementation of reform.This research starts from students'learning states and mental actions under the new college entrance examination reform,by using qualitative research supplemented with quantitative measurements to explore the contributory factors of high school students' learning states.It adapts purposive sampling,selecting eight key senior high schools in Shanghai and Zhejiang province as well as randomly surveying through questionnaires and field interviews.Tape recordings and results of questionnaires run through the process of organizing,coding,analyzing and inspecting.The research surveys the factors of objects'learning states with comparison to the change of proposals in subj ect set,exam time,ways of examinations and admission,along with discussing the contradiction between value orientation and reality.In this way,conclusions are drawn:1.The new college entrance examination policy influences students mainly in the aspects of individual and environment.Individually,the new policy casts both positive and negative impact on students,while from the perspective of environment students are collectively influenced by factors as schools,teachers,families.2.The reform brings about a sense of motivation,freshness and safety as well as a series of negative emotions as confusion,tiredness,depression and conformity.3.Impacts of environment are reflected by the pressure of allocating teaching resources,structural contradiction of teachers and parents'utilitarian psychologies of speculation and conformity.4.In the beginning of practice of policy,there are contradictions between value ideal and reality.The change of policy impacting students'learning is worthy of consideration,while improvements can be made in policy formulation and implementation along with connection between higher education and elementary education.According to listed conclusions,this research constructs a theoretical model of how students are affected by new college entrance examination policy and makes countermeasures and advice:1.Method of grading by levels adapts fuse mechanism,which combines relative scores and absolute scores.2.Course enrolment combination should conform to discipline connotations and two-way choice of students and colleges should be put into practice.3.Exam time should be concentrated in a period of time to alleviate students'pressure.4.The education of career planning should be strengthened and included in elementary education system. |
