Reading activities have always been a hot topic advocated by countries all over the world,and our country has been promoting reading for all,especially for children and adolescents.The recent historic educational reform designed by the top level of the central government has undoubtedly pushed reading into a "dividend period".Relevant studies show that the golden reading period is the primary stage of children.The development of physiology,psychology and education in this age group will become the most suitable and important critical period in life.If we miss this period,the future study will expose the irreparable "congenital deficiencies".At that time,the "headache doctor,foot pain doctor" salvage lesson will be difficult to work.As a comprehensive ability,primary school students' reading ability contains many elements.Reading quality,which is composed of reading motivation,reading interest,reading emotion and reading consciousness,plays an increasingly important role in guiding and strengthening the development of reading ability.The author learned in the study of social work major that the lack of care of schools and families can be remedied by many external conditions,such as the form of group work can provide corresponding help.With the support of the central financial project,this paper selected primary school students from two communities in Xinjian County as the research object,and carried out a study on group work to cultivate primary school students' reading ability.Through the comparison of pre-test and post-test data and qualitative interview analysis,it is found that the reading skills and reading speed of group members can be greatly improved in a short time,while the reading breadth and depth are systematically and slowly improved.At the same time,it can consolidate the basic reading of primary school students,guide them to try a higher level of reading field,broaden their reading horizons,make them have good reading habits and character,and lay a good foundation for their lifelong learning.Under the guidance of Bandura's social learning theory and Piaget's cognitive development theory,the reading group makes full use of its unique advantages,through adjusting the reading environment,plays an exemplary role of peer groups,and focuses its activities on the transformation of pupils' reading psychology and reading cognition,thus affecting pupils' reading behavior and strengthening pupils' reading motivation.It can be seen that group work has played an important rolein the experiment in which primary school students' reading ability has achieved remarkable results,and it has high universality.Through this study,I hope to provide effective case reference for similar theoretical research at the same time of exploration.
