Sukhomlinski is a famous educator in the Soviet Union,whose harmonious education theory is well known to Chinese educators.His famous work,<One Hundred Suggestions to Teachers>,comprehensively reflects his harmonious teaching thoughts and is very popular among front-line teachers.Though the world is advancing,the brilliance of Sukhomlinski's educational and teaching thought has not faded,and it still has a very important guiding significance for today's education.At present,there are many problems in our biology teaching.The introduction of Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods is destined to have a very important guiding significance.This paper introduces Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods into the study of biology teaching and makes a further research on biology subject features and its teaching characters.At the same time,combined with the 2017 edition of "Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools",this paper analyses and compares Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and biology teaching to find out their compatibilities or fitting point in the aspects of objectives,theoretical concepts,etc.,and then links with the current biology teaching practice to provide practical and effective guidance for biology teaching and tutoring students' extracurricular reading.Based on that,this paper uses document research,comparative research and interview as main methods to carry out the study.The paper includes 7 chapters.The 1st chapter mainly introduces the reason for selecting this topic,current situation,research purpose and meaning,and the ideas and methods of research.The second chapter overviews Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods,which is mainly related to its formation and development.The basic contents are included,such as train purposes of harmonious development,teaching process of all round development,scientific and reasonable teaching principles,important issues in teaching process,creative application of teaching methods and so on.This paper also lays stress on the all-round development of students and emphasizes that students are the main body of teaching,discusses teaching problems dialectically,learns from experience of predecessors creatively.In addition,Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods are easy to understand and practical,possess special chronicle feature.These basic features will also be discussed.The third chapter analyzes biology subject features and its teaching features,which includes vitality and experimentation,scientific nature and ideology,theory and practice,history and modernity,division and comprehensiveness.Besides,biology teaching possesses scientific education feature,humanistic education feature,experimental practice feature,comprehensive system feature and method process feature.The fourth chapter deals with the compatibility between Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods and biology teaching.It turns out that the guiding thoughts are identical,the objectives are similar and the theory fits each other.The fifth and sixth chapters rely on the analysis before and combine current situation of biology teaching,proposes to use the guidance provided by Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods as reference to biology teaching and extracurricular reading.In other words,we should dedicate to the development of scientific thinking,the formation of ideological and moral character and emphasis on experimental practices,help students to get more extracurricular reading.According to Suhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods,the author designed and analyzed the teaching case.The seventh chapter is a conclusion which summarizes the idea of this paper and expounds the inadequacy and future prospects of the study.From the conclusion,Sukhomlinski's teaching ideas and methods put emphasis on students' all-round development and the subjectivity of students.It is easy to understand and has strong practicability so we introduce it into biology teaching,which will be of great significance to enrich the teaching theory of biology education and supplement the inadequacy in current biology teaching related identical theory.It will be beneficial to not only to the development of biology education,cultivation of students' core quality,but also to the revolution in biology curriculum.The inadequacy of this paper mainly includes: Sukhomlinski's rich teaching ideas can't be fully summarized,deficiency in analyzing the compatibility between Sukhomlinski's rich teaching ideas and methods and biology teaching.The teaching ideas are still under discussion and the practice is not enough.In addition,Sukhomlinski also has detailed description of the relationship between teachers and students,problems of students with learning disabilities,reducing students' studying burden and teaching evaluation,which is worth further study.
