PBL teaching method,also known as "project-based learning",advocates the educational concept of "student-centered,let students be the masters of the classroom,and achieve the mutual benefit of teaching in cooperation".Applying PBL teaching method to Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language can integrate knowledge learning into communication,promote the development of teaching Chinese to Speakers of language,enrich the theory of teaching Chinese to Speakers of language,and let students feel the charm of Chinese in practice.This paper discusses the definition,essential factors,characteristics and theoretical basis of PBL teaching method from the ontological point of view,and analyses the teaching principles,teaching process and implementation steps of PBL teaching method.Taking the Senior students of Thailand's Thammasat Klongluang Withayakhom Klong School as the teaching object,and combining the teaching design of Animal,which is selected from the material called Experience Chinese,the author finds the advantages of PBL teaching method,the problems and shortcomings in its application,and puts forward the solutions.This paper consists of five parts:The first part is introduction.It mainly elaborates the significance of the topic selection,the research status of PBL teaching method at home and abroad,as well as the main research contents and methods.The second part starts with the definitions of "project" and "project teaching",and systematically elaborates what PBL teaching method is.Then it introduces four basic elements,seven basic characteristics and four related teaching concepts of PBL teaching method.Finally,it summarizes the teaching process of PBL teaching method into six steps.The third part makes a brief frontal analysis of teaching design of the course,students,textbooks and learning environment,and analyzes a project design principle and teacher role positioning analysis of the project "I am a tour guide in the zoo".The fourth part designs the project teaching scheme of Animal,and carries on the concrete teaching practice in Class 9 of Senior Two.On the basis of teacher guidance and group cooperation,we complete the teaching of the project theme "I am a tour guide in the zoo".According to the evaluation and analysis of teaching results,the author concludes that the students' interest in learning has been greatly improved under the PBL teaching method,and their cooperative and practical abilities have also been significantly improved.The fifth part summarizes the advantages of PBL teaching method,and makes evaluation and reflection on the shortcomings of teaching procedure,classroom management and learning process.This paper mainly analyses and designs teaching based on PBL teaching from the perspective of teaching Chinese to Speakers of language,hoping to provide a new perspective for teaching Chinese to Speakers of foreign language.
