Extracurricular physical training is the main component of school physical education and an important way to train sports reserve talents for the country.To carry out after-school sports training,schools should rationally arrange sports items and use scientific methods to improve the sports level of students participating in the training so as to provide more excellent sports reserve talents for the country.This paper investigates the current situation of after-school sports training teams in Xinyang junior middle schools,analyses the factors affecting the current after-school sports training teams in Xinyang junior middle schools,finds out the existing problems in the after-school sports training in Xinyang junior middle schools,and puts forward constructive suggestions and countermeasures.It is hoped that it can provide reference for the education authorities and school administrators in Xinyang City to formulate after-school training policies and provide suggestions for the implementers of after-school sports training.To enrich the school sports theory and after-school sports training theory.From the study,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)In Xinyang City,after-school sports training funds come from a single source,and the phenomenon of insufficient training funds is widespread.Some schools do not have after-school sports training funds.In general,the lack of maintenance of school sports venues and equipment affects the healthy development of after-school sports training.(2)The leaders of Xinyang Junior Middle School pay insufficient attention to the after-school sports training team,fail to establish an effective incentive mechanism,low remuneration for the teachers,no allowance for the students participating in the training,and cannot mobilize the enthusiasm of the teachers and students participating in the training.(3)There are many training items for Xinyang after-school sports training team,but the training items are generally concentrated in track and field,football and basketball,and the layout of training items is not reasonable enough.(4)The age and educational level of after-school physical education training teachers in Xinyang junior middle schools are reasonable,but a large number of specialtraining projects and training projects do not match.There are few opportunities for teachers to continue to improve their theoretical knowledge,and the training mechanism is not perfect.Among the trained teachers,there are more secondary titles and less opportunities for promotion of P.E.teachers ‘titles than those of culture teachers.(5)The selection methods of after-school sports training teachers mostly depend on the ranking of school sports games and their own experience,and the selection of students lacks scientific nature.The rules and regulations of the training team,the files of the students participating in the training and the supervision mechanism are not perfect.(6)Most of the training plans are short-term and lack of long-term training plans.Many schools focus on training 1-3 months before the competition,which shows that after-school sports training in Xinyang only focuses on the immediate,lack of long-term systematic training planning.(7)Generally,only 1-2 times a year are available for the students participating in the school sports meeting,while the opportunities for the students participating in the sports meeting at the higher level of the city and county are few.(8)The reform of physical education examination in Xinyang City has brought positive influence on students ‘participation in physical exercise from many aspects,which is conducive to the development of after-school physical education training in Xinyang Junior Middle School.However,the items of physical education examination in Xinyang City need to be further improved.The contradiction between learning and training is prominent among the students participating in after-school sports training in Xinyang City,which affects their enthusiasm for training.Some students even apply to withdraw from the training team in the middle of training.
