People's Republic of China establishment for many years, track and field teaching plays an important part in middle school PE program. Track and field teaching middle school physical education is an important component of content and it is in the PE curriculum standards and under the guidance of the PE curriculum in relation to specific targets to track and field sports as a physical practice, study skills and teaching competition track and field teaching after the organization processes can be carried out under the teaching and learning environment content collectively. School sports are in the foundation of track and field teaching, which has their own unique advantages in the development of physical and mental quality of students and hasing a special role. In recent years, with continuously pushing forward to the middle school track and field teaching in physical education reform, the majority of PE teachers have reform attempt on the teaching track and field sports course content, technical difficulty and technique rule simplification and have achieved a certain degree.This article has utilized literature material means, survey method, mathematical method and logic means .From the teaching teachers, the location equipment, the curriculum goal, the course content, and so on several aspects, we analyzed the Xinyang City sports curriculum track and field teaching present situation and draw the conclusion:First, In Xinyang City most of the middle schools are based on the promulgation of China's education in 2001's "Sports and Health Curriculum Standards" as the syllabus. The teachers have very good understanding of track and field curriculum goal and will provide the good basis for the track and field curriculum's teaching method and the content formulation.Second, present situation about the Xinyang middle school sports teachers is more reasonable. Each school average has 4.48 PE teacher and the track and field specialized teacher's proportion is quite reasonable. Female teacher's proportion is quite moderate, but it is in certain population insufficiency.Third, the Xinyang Middle school track and field location's situation basic can guarantee the school sports as well as the track and field teaching development, but funding and venues Sports equipment cannot satisfy the track and field curriculum teaching.Fourth, Xinyang City middle school PE teachers in track and field teaching used in teaching methods are still traditional teaching methods. Teaching content emphasized the technical integrity of the sport-oriented teaching. Teaching content is too boring and lack of fun. The phenomenon that the student did not like on the track and field class are still existing, Students studying the contents of track and field also appears that students are not positive.Friday, in the track and field result's inspection, only 19.01% percent of the School is mainly based on the results of physical and health standards. through the teacher to student's observation, examing, and refers to the student to appraise the opinion which and between the student appraises mutually and by reference to the student self-evaluation and evaluation of students between the views of a comprehensive study evaluation.
