Student's development is the ultimate goal of education.Modern society has put forward higher requirements for people. The important goal of becoming a modern talented person are with a strong ability of higher-order thinking. How to cultivate high-level thinking ability in the information technology classroom provides a new perspective of development for the teaching of information technology course. In this study, the study of high-order thinking ability is refined into fixed study and fixed subject teaching. The research object is clearly the high-level thinking ability of high school students in information technology. The purpose is to explore the application of project-oriented teaching toward higher-order thinking in higher education and information technology, combining high-order thinking with project-based teaching. In this study,a scale framework was proposed based on literature analysis, and a information technology high-level thinking scale was constructed by expert opinion.Scales include critical thinking(looking for truth, open mind, analytical ability, systematic ability, curiosity, cognitive maturity);creative thinking(adventure, imagination, challenge);problem solving thinking(problem identification, problem Characterization, strategy selection, strategy application, result evaluation, cooperation awareness, computational thinking);decision-making thinking(futuristic, dialectical).A total of four first-order dimensions,18 second-order dimensions. Then,we design a project-based teaching design that can improve high-level thinking ability and use experimental research methods to verify the effect of project-based teaching on the improvement of high-level thinking ability so as to promote the development of high-level thinking skills of high school students in information technology.
