The cultivation of students' positive psychological quality is one of the important goals of mental health education,and plays a very important role in the healthy development of their mind and body.Primary school students are the backbone of the progress of the motherland.They shoulder the mission of building the country.However,in recent years,the incidence of psychological problems among primary school students has increased year by year,which has aroused the attention of society and schools.Psychological health education,as one of the important components of quality education,is currently mainly based on mental health courses,but the contents and methods of mental health education still need to be improved.Therefore,it is a compelling obligation for mental health educators to promote the cultivation of students' positive psychological quality by learning advanced educational concepts and curriculum forms.In this paper,the positive psychological quality of primary school students is promoted by means of expressive art group counseling,and adopts group sandbox,painting,psychological drama and other forms of counseling,which not only enriches the curriculum form of mental health education,but also expands its teaching content,which has an important practical meaning of promoting the comprehensive development of physical and health as well as the positive psychological quality of primary school students.In this paper,the literature analysis method is firstly used to sort out the relevant theories and researches of expressive art group counseling and positive psychological quality education to form the basic ideas of the research,and then the questionnaire survey method is used to analyze the positive psychological quality of students in Shenyang S Primary School,which lays the realistic foundation of the program.According to the "Psychological Health Guidelines for Primary and Secondary Schools",for the requirements for the mental health development of students at middle grade and the basic laws of students' psychological development,the positive psychological quality dimension of the main interventions is selected,and the systematic expressive art group counseling program is designed.In order to examine the effect of the program,two classes of homogeneity are selected as the experimental class and the control class,and the experimental class is implemented by the expressive art group counseling program,and the normal mental health education course is conducted for the control class.Finally,after one semester of processing,post-testing is carried out.Through the comparison data,the changes of the positive psychological quality level of the experimental class students are grasped.At the same time,according to the data results,the analysis of actual level of positive psychological quality of S primary school students and the improved effect of the program are expounded.Measures and suggestions of improving the positive psychological quality of primary school students are proposed from the perspectives of society,schools,families and individuals,so as to promote the cultivation of positive psychological quality and the effectiveness of mental health education.
