This paper built up two student models of High School Qualifying Achievement Test of biology based on the curriculum standards of biology 2017 and Testing version,respectively,using the methods of literature review,data analysis and statistics.By comparing and evaluating these two student models,suggestions on questions design of the test were provided.Firstly,a suitable Evidence-Centered Design(ECD)for the Qualifying Achievement Test of Biology was determined by evaluating the relevant theories.Secondly,summarized the Qualifying Achievement Test and the curriculum standard with comparison of the two curriculum standards of biology,2017 and Testing version.Finally,built up the student model of High School Qualifying Achievement Test based on the ECD and provided suggestions on the test.Results:the test should (1) emphasis both module I and II,with a similar proportion;(2)set concept 1 of module I and concept 3 of module II as the focal points;(3)evaluate students cognitive ability through their understanding of cell structures in concept 1 of module I.;(4)involve more questions about the ability of understanding every module,especially module II;(5)design appropriate amounts of questions on students analyzation ability in each module,especially concept 3 of module ?.
