Chinese women are persecuted by feudal ideas,no voice in the family,no place in society.Until the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,the idea of equality between men and women which is originated from Europe flowed into China and the idea became popular.As the country developed its national revival,women began to receive attention and were given the basic rights of modern citizens.In modern Chinese history,feminist consciousness spring up.Under the leadership of a group of open-minded people,the feminist movement has developed and flourished.Lv Bicheng,who grew up under the interweaving of tradition and new thoughts,is a representative member of this feminist movement.The main method of advocating women's rights is to promote women's education.This is an unprecedented change for modern China.As a leader of the feminist movement,Lv Bicheng put the feminist thought into the women's education concept and practice,and formed the concept and practice of women's education with "Lv's characteristics".As the top four talented women in the Republic of China,Lv Bicheng contribution to women's education is not as famous as her literary achievements.This article is dedicated to uncovering the mystery of history,and on the basis of the previous studies,enriches the research content of the theme of women's education by Lv Bicheng.Lv Bicheng is the first female principal in the history of modern Chinese education.She participated in the establishment and teaching of China's first women's public school and China's first normal school.From 1904,when Lv Bicheng founded it and left in 1911,she insisted on her commitment to national construction and completed her mission to women's education.As the banner of women's education,the Beiyang Women's School accelerated the decline of the old feudal women's education and became the beginning of a new era of women's education.In this new type of school,Lv Bicheng completed the process of transition from "lost feminism" to "acquired feminism." It has trained many excellent female talents for modern China.The first chapter is the introduction.It introduces the reasons for the selection of the topic,the current research situation at home and abroad,the significance of theresearch,the definition of concepts,the ideas and methods,the innovation and the inadequacy.Chapters 2 to 6 are the main parts of this thesis.Based on the background of Lv Bicheng's participation in the feminist movement in the early twentieth century,this study studies Lv Bicheng's view of women's education and its practice from the perspective of women's rights.Therefore,the study of Lv Bicheng's feminist ideology is an indispensable first step in the whole thesis.The second chapter,Exploring the development of Lv Bicheng's feminist thought.Which goes back to the early experience of Lv Bicheng and the period of the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,explores the source of Lv Bicheng's feminist thoughts.Then,reviews the feminist movement in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,analyzes Lv Bicheng's views in the feminist movement,comparing Lv Bicheng's and Qiu Jin's views on women's rights,and seeks her unique and valuable ideas in the feminist movement.Chapter 3 and Chapter4 are the focus of this thesis.The third chapter discusses Lv Bicheng's concept of women's education that integrates feminist ideas,including education as the fundamental,educational purpose and maternal education of the founding of the People's Republic of China.It explores the functions of the new women's education in Lv Bicheng's concept of women's education,including the personal transformation function of women's education.For men's collaborative functions,it has the function of creating new nationals for the country.This is the first attempt to create new nationals from the perspective of female education.In the fouth chapter,Beiyang Women's School is the "laboratory" for the practice of Lv Bicheng's women's education concept,and it is also the main venue for her to practice women's rights.First of all,explore the development experience of the Beiyang Women's School and analyze the reasons and advantages of her success including urban atmosphere,social environment,education policy,and international trends.Secondly,the purpose of the Beiyang Women's School is to cultivate female teacher talents in order to popularize education.This chapter gives a detailed summary of its teaching content in the form of a table.Further investigate the school's teaching management and the two-way management of students and teachers;Thirdly,anoverview of the famous alumni of Beiyang Women's School,especially the students taught by Lv Bicheng.Finally,the paper analyzes the shortcomings of the school and explores the historical significance of the Beiyang Women's School.In the fifth chapter,Lv Bicheng's achievements were influenced by her teachers and friends.Through the collection of information on Lv Bicheng's exchanges with Ying Lianzhi,Yan Fu and Yuan Shikai,he explored the influence relationship between Lv Bicheng and them and thoroughly understood Lv Bicheng's career of education.Chapter 6,based on the current situation,analyses the Enlightenment of Lv Bicheng's view on women's education and its practice on the training of female talents.The appendix of this article is "Lv Bi Cheng's Chronology of Major Events" to facilitate understanding of Lv Bicheng's life,and the appendix "Educational Reform during the New Deal Period in the Late Qing Dynasty" to facilitate more specific understanding of Lv Bicheng's women's education thoughts.
