| Increasing public health burdens and inadequate sports activities have led to the development of many health problems,with young people accounting for about 32% of the total population in Pakistan and limited sports.As a result,one of Pakistan's major public health problems is considered to be a growing number of diseases accompanied by changes in lifestyle,such as obesity among young people;these unhealthy behaviors It can lead to serious diseases.However,up to now,no research has been done to understand the current situation of school track and field sports and the reasons for the decline of track and field and sports level in schools in Pakistan.In this study,according to the policy of the Ministry of Education,the government's policy on sports,and the UNESCO Charter on Physical Education and Sports,the actual situation and practice of secondary schools in Multan City were evaluated.The purpose of this study is to obtain the current situation of track and field in Multan middle school and analyze its development with time.This study mainly uses literature,questionnaire,quantitative and qualitative analysis,mathematical statistics and other methods to study the current situation and development of track and field in 23 high schools in Multan,Pakistan,and draws the following conclusions and construction.Discussion:Research found :1.High school track and field sports in Multan are more popular now.Many researchers are studying the importance and necessity of school sports for young students.The provincial government allocated sports funds in 8807(million,PKR)from 2018 to 2019.Now the government focuses on sports,and track and field sports have a better development prospects;2.The main obstacles to the development of track and field are the lack of funds and facilities for track and field in Multan and the lack of interest of physical education teachers.In addition,the results of interviews show that neither students nor parents are aware of the importance of sports as a discipline.3.It is found that there are no special amateur track and field training programs and policies in Multan High School.Athletes only receive coaches' training for a specific period of time and participate in school-organized competitions.Therefore,their physical fitness and ability are limited,and few athletes are interested in amateur track and field sports and engage in training.4.Lack of control and balance of sports expenditure,the government's main concern is not the healthy lifestyle,but the establishment of grades in the classroom,so few schools has a dedicated track and field budget.5.In the past,the government did not have any policies for the development of sports,but the current government is working for the improvement of school sports,such as amending laws,such as sports for young students is mandatory.For young students,sports are as compulsory as education.Therefore,the current federal government framework is good,but as the government mentioned in its policy,it should be implemented.In order to improve the skills of track and field coaches and make them know more about the latest technology and training methods of track and field,training courses for on-the-job coaches or physical education teachers should be held regularly.It is necessary to establish an effective sports monitoring and evaluation system in order to find out the bottleneck of the problem and provide solutions.Sports infrastructure in the public sector should be provided free of charge to students in schools,colleges and universities.This will also increase the utilization of these facilities.The negative attitude of school leaders towards sports is the main obstacle hindering the development of sports undertakings and needs to be improved.The curriculum content,classroom atmosphere,teachers' behavior and the principal's proper attention to sports activities play an important role in the effectiveness and promotion of middle school sports. |
