Faced with the current needs of innovation of talents cultivation metlhod and cross-disciplinary research,and the inefficiency of internal management and the strict discipline of disciplines,the traditional College System has gradually failed to meet the development needs of higher education institutions.In order to satisfy the economic and social needs of talents and the requiremengts of social development for academic research,the refonn of the Faculty System canme to the ground.On the one hand,the reform of the Faculty System is an important measure to enhance the comprehensive strength and core competitiveness of the school.It can promote the integration of academic resources,interdisciplinary research and innovative talent cultivation method.On the other aspect,the Faculty System is an useful exploration to deep the reform of the internal governance of the university and owns much benefits in narrowing the management scope and improving management efficiency.However,the reform of Faculty System is still in initial stage in China.This paper starts from the stakeholder theory,mainly focus on the attitudes and opinioins of different stakeholders,which could have impact on the reform of the Faculty System.These ideas,providing meaningful realistic references,could help the higher education institutions promote the reform of the Faculty System.F-irstly,the paper includes three groups in Z University as the research object,including managers,full-time teachers and students,and obtains attitudes and opinions on the reform of the Faculty System from three aspects via questionnaires and interviews:basic recognition,support degree and motivation.Based on data analysis,it is found that managers have a higher recognition than full-time teachers and students.In terms of the motivation of the reform,managers mainly focus on the need for the transformation of the management system at the macro level and the change of ideas.In addition,Full-time teachers care about whether the academic authority can be strengthened through the Reform of the Faculty System,and whether they have more voice in the integration of academic resources.Comparatively speaking,the students are in a comparatively weak position in university internal governance decision-making which leads to barely passion to pay attention to the Reform of the Faculty System and lower recognition than managers and full-time teachers.In addition,students pay more attention to the transformation of cultivation method and whether the academic atmosphere can be strengthened as expected.Further analysis shows that the attitudes of managers,full-time teachers and students to the Reform of the Faculty System are all influenced by the basic cognition of the Reform of the Faculty System no matter different groups.Secondly,based on the attitudes and opinions of different stakeholders on the Reform of the Faculty System in higher education institutions and combined with oth er relevant data an d interviews,we analyzed and came to four conclusions:Firstly,compared with full-time teachers and students,managers are most familiar with the relevant contents of the Reform of the Faculty System;Secondly,full-time teachers and students have obvious identity problems;Thirdly,strengthening academic power is the most concerned direction of the Reform of the Faculty System that full-time teachers pay most attention to.The imbalance between administrative power and academic power is the problem th at needs to be solved in the Reform of the Faculty System;Fourthly,management level pays more attention to macro obstacles such as policies and management system,students pay more attention to micro-level obstacles such as attitude and personnel adjustment,full-time teachers pay more attention to the integration of academ ic resources and the strengthening of academic power.Finally,the paper offers several ways to promote the Reform of the F aculty System according to different stakeholders:to enhance cognitive understanding,deepen ideological concepts;to promote identity,stimulate group motivation;to clarify macro-ideas,improving system design;and to build a mechanism of stakeholders co-governance.
