Thematic teaching refers to the content theme as the research object,the specific area as the research scope,the re-integration and structure of the involved knowledge content,breaking the knowledge boundary and module barriers,creating the situation,surrounding the theme and “problem+task” The form guides students to analyze the problems from the shallower to the deeper,from the table and the inside,so that students can master the general rules of regional subject analysis,and form a teaching mode with points and lines and lines.This teaching mode integrates the original scattered geographical location,natural geographical features,human geographical features and other knowledge into one theme,so that students can better solve the actual geographical problems.This paper takes the theme as the main research object,analyzes the characteristics and principles of the topic-based teaching,and builds a geography-thematic teaching process suitable for middle school.Based on this,the author applies it to the actual geography teaching,that is,the Hunan education version compulsory The second chapter of Chapter 2,Regional Sustainable Development,Danger and Control of Desertification:Taking Northwest China as an Example".In this teaching practice,students’ enthusiasm and high participation in the classroom have a significant effect on cultivating students’ coordination of people,comprehensive thinking and regional cognition.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part mainly highlights the research background,research significance,research methods,and summarizes the research status of thematic teaching at home and abroad.The research methods of this paper mainly use the literature analysis method,interview method and classroom observation method.The second part mainly defines the geographical theme and the concept of topical teaching in geography,and introduces the theoretical basis of this research and the characteristics of topical teaching in geography.The third part mainly introduces the application status of thematic teaching and the brief analysis of the survey results,and then analyzes the feasibility of using thematic teaching inregional geography.The fourth part mainly introduces some explorations on the subject-based teaching practice of geography,including the principles of implementation and the main teaching process in the geography classroom.Based on this,a teaching case is designed to provide first-line geography teachers help.The fifth part,concluding remarks,summarizes the full text and puts forward the shortcomings and shortcomings of this research.
