As China's national socioeconomy grow rapidly,more women have ploughed into work.At the same time,government has begun to lighten student's burden in primary education,which led to the problem of neglected schoolchild and education for the majority of families after school.In order to solve this problem,many cities became the pilot city of "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project.And a growing number of children have a safe and reliable after-school care,experiencing colorful after-school life.However there are many obstacle in the front of implement since "4:30 pm.classroom" project is a brand-new after-school care model,which is still in progress.In the long run,if these problems can not be properly solved,the effect of "4:30 pm.classroom" project will not only decline,but also affect learning efficiency and growing up for schoolchildren.This research studies the "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project in Nanchang city,adopting the methods of literature research,participatory observation and in-depth interviews to understand the current situation of the “4:30 p.m.Classroom” project at home and abroad,the implementation reality of the "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project in X community and the real need of school-age children,thus making a more specific acquaintance of the plight of the "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project.The research also reach a conclusion that children in X community have five demands,which are respectively to improve their ability of independence,long to a close parent-child relationship,strengthen their team spirit and ability,enhance their communication skills,and enrich extracurricular life.Meantime,there are five difficulties under the operation of "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project,including project funds,children age difference,staff,curriculum content,and the class system.The main reasons are the shortage of funds,the age difference among children,lack of staff,monotonous curriculum and lack of class rules.In order to solve these problems,we can carry out solution in the following five aspects;Introduce social work organizations and increase the support of social workers;Mover forward volunteer service and establish an evaluation mechanism of universities;Keep a foothold on community resources and enhance publicity;Provide professional services and gather multi-resources;Regularly investigate the needs of students and guide parents to participate together.Finally,the author probes into the advantages of social work and the comprehensive countermeasures to "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project.It is hoped that we can facilitate the operation and development of the "4:30 p.m.Classroom" project and create a beneficial education circumstance for schoolchild's extracurricular life by introducing social work institutions,providing professional services and gathering resources.At the same time,in a certain extent we can enrich and refine social work,promoting the progress and development of social work through this study.
