Secondary vocational education plays a fundamental role in education.Employment-oriented secondary vocational education is closely linked with the labor market,and continuously provides skilled talents to the society at the forefront of vocational education.Secondary vocational education can promote employment,alleviate structural problems,transfer surplus rural labor,optimize industrial structure,promote technology diffusion and application,and improve labor market efficiency,thus promoting economic growth.In the current our country to vigorously develop vocational education,vocational education services macroscopic background of the importance of economic construction,under the central guide actively the development of vocational education in Guangdong province,Guangdong province issued policy documents repeatedly emphasized enhance the level of vocational education the contribution of economic growth,especially the secondary vocational education as of theoretical significance,choosing Guangdong province as the research object can fill the research gap.Based on the above background,this paper takes the empirical study on the contribution of secondary vocational education to economic growth in Guangdong province as the topic.Based on the theoretical analysis of education and economic growth and the characteristics of secondary vocational education,the qualitative analysis of the interaction between secondary vocational education and economic growth is preliminarily and systematically discussed and concluded.Using method of mathematical statistics to describe and analyze the basic situation of secondary vocational education and economic growth in Guangdong province,using the correlation analysis,coordination,granger causality test and variance analysis,impulse response function and variance decomposition to study the relationship between the secondary vocational education and economic growth in Guangdong province,and to study the dynamic panel data model with GMM Guangdong province secondary vocational education scale,structure,quality impact on economic growth.The theoretical model based on the cobb-douglas production function and the variable coefficient fixed effect model method were used to calculate the contribution rate of secondary vocational education to economic growth in Guangdong province from the perspective of labor force and human capital.And around Guangdong province secondary vocational education to economic growth contribution of this research subject,based on a conclusions: Guangdong secondary vocational education development and economic growth are positively correlated,but the two development is not coordinated;The influence between secondary vocational education and economic growth in Guangdong province is two-way,and the promotion intensity of secondary vocational education on economic growth in Guangdong province is greater than the positive influence of economic growth on secondary vocational education.The quality,scale and structure of secondary vocational education have influence on economic growth,and the quality of secondary vocational education has more influence on economic growth.In measuring the contribution rate of secondary vocational education to economic growth in Guangdong province,Guangdong province secondary vocational education through the contribution of human capital on economic growth is higher than the contribution to economic growth by way of employment,the contribution of secondary vocational education to economic growth in Guangdong province at the national level,as time goes by,the contribution of secondary vocational education to economic growth has improved,different education level and the education of different economic regions produce obvious differences.The significance of this study was,is clear about the contribution of secondary vocational education to economic growth in Guangdong province value,shift has long been ignored in the development of secondary vocational education idea,the corresponding Suggestions and countermeasures are proposed according to the results,to coordinate the relationship between the secondary vocational education and economic growth,improve the quality of education to cultivate high-quality skilled personnel,adjust the rational allocation of education resources in education levels,optimize the layout of the secondary vocational education in the economic area provide a reference basis,guide the secondary vocational education in terms of scale,quality,structure and benefit of construction,the rising level of economic contribution to the construction of secondary vocational education service.
