The Study Of Social Work Intervention In The Safety Of Migrant Children

With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,a large number of people have flooded into cities,and the number of migrant children has increased.As a vulnerable group in society,migrant children face many challenges in life and study in the city.In particular,the safety of migrant children has aroused widespread concern in society.How to create a good growth environment,ensure the health of children,and solve the safety problems of the migrant children,it is an important basis for the sustainable development of the future society.This paper relies on the practice of summer camps carried out by L institution in Shenzhen.The research object is migrant children and the study focuses on the safety of migrant children.Based on the professional perspective of social work,this study combines the professional knowledge of social work and the practical experience of the project,using literature analysis,questionnaires,interviews,participatory observation to collect data,supported by Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and social support theory,using the group work to intervene in the safety of migrant children.Through carrying out six series of thematic activities involving transportation,food,home,adolescence,anti-abduction,and public space safety,to enhance the safety awareness of migrant children and their parents,increase their safety knowledge,improve the home environment and community safety environment,and start from the children themselves,families and communities to jointly rectify the growing environment that is unfavorable to migrant children,in order to create a safe growth space and promote the healthy growth of migrant children.It is found that social workers play an important role in improving the safety awareness of migrant children and their parents,improving the safety environment of families and communities,and solving the problem of migrant children's safety.However,we should see that there are some limitations in the development of group work in the specific activities.In the subsequent research,we need to integrate the methods of casework and community work to expand the effectiveness of the service.
