A new round of geography curriculum reform advocates the cultivation of students’ core cultural literacy.As an important part of geographical core literacy,geographical practice has become a hot topic in geography education in China.Practice is the essential attribute of geography.Although the core literacy of geography is mainly for high school,it is also applicable to junior high school students.However,the specific requirements and training methods for students are different at different stages.Under the guidance of geographical core literacy,many regional junior high schools have carried out research activities related to “focusing on geographical core literacy and practicing geographical practice”.Junior high school geography is the foundation for high school geography learning.Only by doing a good job in the middle and high school can we better cultivate the core literacy of students.However,through the current situation survey of the first-year students,it is found that the current level of students’ geography practice is generally low.This study takes the geography practice of junior high school students as the research object,and studies the geography practice ability of junior high school students from the perspective of teachers and students,and provides reference for improving the students’ geography practice level.On the basis of reading related literatures,under the guidance of pragmatic teaching theory,activity teaching theory and multiple intelligence theory,the thesis defines relevant concepts and related research at home and abroad,and uses the questionnaire survey method to conduct geographical practice for students.The current situation research,using interviews to conduct research on geography practice of teachers,analyze the survey data by statistical analysis method,propose relevant countermeasures based on analysis and design specific cases of geographical practice activities,in order to cultivate geography practice for geography teachers.for reference.Based on the analysis of the survey results of the status quo of junior high school students’ geography practice,the following conclusions are drawn: Firstly,students are interested in geography practice activities,and students are very much looking forward to teachers carrying out rich and colorful practical activities in teaching activities.Secondly,students geography practice activities The experience is less,and it is restricted by many factors.Teachers rarely carry out practical activities.Finally,the status quo of students’ geography practice is not very optimistic.The level of geography practice of junior high school students is generally low.Students’ geography production ability,geographic drawing ability,and geography survey Poor capacity,geographic observation and observation capabilities need to be further improved.Based on the results of teacher interviews,it is found that less class hours,security risks,teachers,and schools are the main factors that restrict students’ geography practice.First of all,classroom teaching time is limited,teachers have heavy teaching tasks,and there is little time and effort to design geographical practice activities.Secondly,safety hazards in practice activities are also the main factors that restrict the cultivation of students’ geographical practice.Moreover,teachers’ own practice activities The experience is limited,teachers lack relevant practical teaching experience,so in the process of guiding students,they will face problems such as insufficient organization and management ability.Finally,the school lacks the facilities and financial support for carrying out practical activities.The school is more concerned with students due to the concept of exam-oriented education.The results of the ignoring of the cultivation of students’ practical literacy.In view of the above problems,the following strategies are proposed: Firstly,combined with junior high school curriculum standards,teaching materials and academic conditions,more in-class and extra-curricular geographical practice activities are carried out in geography teaching;secondly,teachers are encouraged to actively participate in geo-practical-related training and geography practice teaching skills.Competition and the integration of geographic practice training into the teacher evaluation mechanism to improve teachers’ geo-practical quality;in addition,establish an incentive evaluation mechanism for students to discover flash points and encourage self-confidence;finally,build a practice base inside and outside the school.This study analyzes the status quo of junior high school students’ geography practice from the perspective of teachers and students,and designs and implements a series of practical cases according to the curriculum standards,teaching materials and academic conditions,and conducts comparative analysis of the effects to improve the students’ geography practice level.Learning interest and inquiry consciousness have achieved results,and have certain reference significance for geography teachers to cultivate the geography practice of junior high school students.
