In 2003,the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Standards for the Curriculum of Ordinary High School Biology",and "advocating inquiry learning" as the basic concept and requirements of our biology curriculum.After continuous exploration and research,on the basis of this,the Ministry of Education issued new curriculum standards in 2017.It regards "scientific inquiry" as one of the core literacy of biology,pays more attention to the cultivation of students' independent learning ability,develops students' lifelong learning ability,and cultivates innovative talents.The preparation of the textbook is based on the national curriculum standards,and the setting of the "exploration" column in the compulsory textbook of the high school biology of the People's Education Edition is the embodiment of this concept.Therefore,in the actual teaching,teachers should use the "exploration" column to give play to the unique value of the "exploration" column for cultivating students' scientific inquiry ability.This study aims to systematically and deeply analyze the "exploration" column of the compulsory textbook in the high school,so that the majority of frontline teachers have a clear understanding of the intention of setting up the "exploration" column in the country,and increase the emphasis on the "exploration" column in practical teaching.At the same time,an optimized teaching design case is given,so that teachers can better use the "exploration" column to carry out inquiry activities,promote the all-round development of students,and cultivate students' ability of lifelong learning.And put "scientific inquiry",one of the connotation of discipline core accomplishment proposed in the new curriculum standard,into practice.The author uses the content analysis method and the comparative analysis method to deeply analyze the columns of the compulsory textbooks in the high school.It is mainly divided into three categories: target columns,ability columns,and information columns.The "exploration" column is completely explored and contains all the elements of scientific inquiry activities compared to other columns.The "exploration" column is an effective material for cultivating students' scientific inquiry ability.From compulsory one to compulsory three,each textbook involves various types ofexperiments,but the level of inquiry activities is gradually improved.Through the investigation of the teaching status of the "Exploration" column,the author found the following problems:(1)Up to 77.8% of first-line teachers are unclear about the intention of setting up the "exploration" column.At the same time,in the actual classroom teaching,teachers also need to pay more attention to the "Exploration" column.(2)For the teaching status of the "Exploration" column,the attitude of the students is not optimistic,mainly reflected in the low frequency of hands-on experimentation and the simple explanation of the content of the teachers.Only 2.7% of the students are satisfied with the traditional teaching mode of "Exploration" column.The author strives to find an appropriate teaching mode to solve the above problems,and make good use of the "Exploration" column to cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability.In the end,the teaching model combining the "learning guide and flipping classroom" is adopted for teaching design,and the combination of the class and the class is used to carry out the inquiry activities.And provide an optimized teaching design case for the majority of frontline teachers.Through the study of compulsory one and compulsory two,students have acquired a certain scientific inquiry ability.In this study,the author takes the "Exploration" column in Compulsory 3 as an example,and selects two contents with different levels of "scientific inquiry" and different types of research.The first is the "Exploration" column in the second section of Chapter 3: "Exploring the optimum concentration of auxin analogues to promote rooting of cuttings";the second is the "Exploration" section in the second section of Chapter IV: "Changes in the population of yeast in the culture solution".The teaching design of "Exploring the optimum concentration of auxin analogues to promote rooting of cuttings" is applied to practical teaching.The scientific and rationality of instructional design is tested through questionnaires and open-ended questions.Finally,both survey results show that it is of practical significance to combine the teaching mode of "learning plan guidance and flipped classroom" with the teaching mode of "inquiry" column.It is an effective way to implement the new curriculum concept and cultivate the students' core quality of biology subject to effectively use the column of "Exploration" in the biology textbook of senior high school in practical teaching.This study makes an in-depth analysis of the intention ofsetting up the "Exploration" column of the compulsory textbook of the high school biology of the People's Education Press from a theoretical level.It is an effective material for cultivating students' ability to explore science,thus increasing teachers' emphasis on the "Exploration" column.On the practical level,analyze the problems existing in the actual teaching of the "Exploration" column,and then give an optimized teaching design case based on the combination of "learning plan guidance and flipped classroom" to promote the "scientific inquiry" of the first-line teachers.The concept is implemented and the high school students' scientific inquiry ability and innovative spirit are cultivated to promote the all-round development of students.In general,the study has not only made up for the gaps in the research of the "Exploration" column of high school biology textbooks,but also aroused the inquiry consciousness of high school biology teachers to a certain extent.However,since the "Exploration" column is a full inquiry activity,it will be affected by factors such as the teacher's knowledge reserve and the state of the school's experimental facilities.Teachers and schools need to work together to overcome these difficulties and apply the "inquiry" column to teaching practice.
