Study On The Training Strategies Of Student’s Learning Habits In Junior Middle School Mathematics Class

Cultivating students’ good study habits is a common requirement for quality education and lifelong education.Mathematics is one of the main disciplines in the primary and secondary schools,which is an important period for cultivating study habits.Habits of mathematics study can have an influence on the cultivation of comprehensive study habits.Students mainly learn knowledge in the class.By cultivating students’good study habits in the mathematics class,we can improve the efficiency of the class study and create an effective study environment.Taking junior high school mathematics learning as an example,this paper chooses four mathematics classroom study habits to develop training strategies,which are preview habits,listening habits,note-taking habits,and cooperation and communication habits.These four study habits are easy to cultivate,highly operable,and important in improving classroom efficiency.First,to understand the current situation of these four learning habits,this paper investigated students in the junior high school where the author teaches,through questionnaires and classroom observations.Then,to understand the causes behind the current situation,the author analyzed the investigation results by visiting and inquiry.Finally,combined the results and causes of the investigation with relevant literature,training strategies for four study habits have been obtained.The training strategies for the habits of preview are:first,let students establish a correct concept of preview;second,train students to think and ask questions during preview.Good preview habits are as follows:(1)Read in order,do not look at the given theorems and conclusions first;(2)Preview tasks that must be done,including thinking about textbook questions and examples,theorem,and the structure and content of the whole lesson,and write down the answers or questions of thinking in the textbook;(3)Compare the answering process of the textbook questions and examples with your own and record the questions,and do the after-school exercises if time is available.The training strategy for listening habits can start from both students and teachers.Students’strategies include:prepare for the class;master the skills to concentrate;strengthen discipline;and strengthen listening.The teacher’s strategies include:change the teaching activities every 15-20 minutes;ask well-designed questions;give students the right to speak.The training strategy for the habit of taking notes is:the students need to listen to the teacher first,then write it on the textbook or next to the question;the notes of the questions should be completed independently;the math notes should be simple and intuitive;and the teacher needs to define the contents of good notes in the mathematics class and leave enough time for students to take notes.The training strategies for cooperation and communication habits are:group rationally;standardize cooperation and communication mode;emphasize the discipline of collective display.The above training strategies are in line with the teaching practice of the author’s own school,and are explained with teaching examples.Therefore,these training strategies are highly operable.Hope this paper can provide reference and inspiration to the majority of teachers on the front.
