With the development of education,the public is paying more and more attention to school education reform.As one of the most basic and important forms of relationship in school education and teaching activities,the teacher-student relationship has naturally become an important subject of educational reform.The increasingly frequent conflicts between teachers and students reflect various problems existing in the current school education,which brings great challenges for us to build a new type of teacher-student relationship.How to treat and deal with the increasingly frequent conflicts between teachers and students is a difficult problem for every educator.As a famous French philosopher in the 20 th century,Michel Foucault and his thoughts have always been attached great importance to the academic circle.Nowadays,more and more scholars begin to notice the profound significance of Foucault's theory to educational research,among which the influence of discipline theory is the most prominent.In Foucault's view,modern society is a prison archipelago,and school is a representative discipline institution in modern society,"Discipline" is ubiquitous in school education."Discipline" not only satisfies the school education's pursuit for order and efficiency,but also leads to the imbalance of power and the alienation of teacherstudent relationship.Foucault's discipline theory has opened a new window for us to study school education and teacher-student relationship,which has unique value that other theories do not have.Based on the theory of Foucault's discipline,this paper tries to discuss the issues of school education and teacher-student relationship from the perspective of this theory.By reading relevant works of Foucault and sorting out a large number of literature materials related to "discipline theory" and "teacher-student relationship",the current research status and development direction of the discipline theory and teacher-student relationship in the academic world are comprehensively sorted out,which provides a theoretical basis for the writing of this paper.At the same time,based on the deficiency and deviation of current discipline theory in educational research,this paper makes a reasonable criticism,and summarizes the internal relationship between discipline and teacher-student relationship and the influence of discipline on teacher-student relationship.It is expected to discuss the influence of discipline on the teacher-student relationship by expounding the development,main content and value of discipline theory,and to reflect on the frequent teacher-student conflicts,so as to find a breakthrough for the application of discipline and the construction of teacher-student relationship.
