The comprehensive practical activity curriculum is based on the students' real life and development needs,from the life situation to find problems,into the theme of the activity,through the methods of inquiry,service,production,experience,etc.,to cultivate students' comprehensive quality interdisciplinary practical courses.In September 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the “Guidelines for the Curriculum of Comprehensive Practical Activities in Primary and Secondary Schools” to explain the course in detail and to ensure that the course is fully in place.The curriculum is designed to enhance students' practical ability,cultivate students' innovative spirit,and promote the transfer and sublimation of knowledge.An empirical study was conducted on 10 representative primary schools in the urban area of Yueyang City.It was found that the primary schools in Yueyang City paid more attention to the implementation of the comprehensive practical activity curriculum.The curriculum teaching was included in the overall education and teaching plan of the school.The activities are also more diversified.The implementation of the curriculum has produced certain effects in promoting the improvement of the overall quality of primary school students,developing teachers' research and education and teaching ability,and enhancing the visibility and influence of schools.However,according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education,there are still some gaps,mainly because the school's teaching and management of the comprehensive practical activities curriculum is still loose,the curriculum resources are still insufficiently developed and utilized,the curriculum evaluation is not comprehensive,the teachers do not know the curriculum,and the professional teachers.The power is still lacking,some students participate in the curriculum tend to be superficial,and so on.In response to the problem,the following aspects were improved: the sound management mechanism guarantees the implementation of the curriculum,the overall construction of rational development and utilization of resources,the improvement of the evaluation mechanism based on performance evaluation,the strengthening of teachers' curriculum awareness,the improvement of teachers' understanding of the curriculum,and the creation of special Part-time work combined with a relatively stable team of teachers,paying attention to student needs to motivate students to participate in enthusiasm,and strengthen team awareness.
