Research On Fertility Intention And Influencing Factors Of College Teachers Under The Universal Two-child Policy

At present,China’s declining birthrate and population aging are intensifying,the population structure is more prominent,and the “demographic dividend” is gradually disappearing.In response to these problems,the Chinese government has successively issued the "two children" policy and the "full two children" policy,but the number of births has not achieved the expected results since the implementation of the policy.As a representative of the high-level intellectuals group,college teachers are one of the target groups of the “two-child comprehensive birth policy”.They have the advantages of stable winter and summer vacation,stable working environment in the system,and relatively regular work rhythm.In theory,they are more mature.The fertility conditions,and the number of them have been rising in recent years,therefore,it is of great significance to study the fertility willingness of college teachers.This paper takes five college teachers in Jinan as the research object,collects data through field survey and online questionnaire,analyzes the fertility willingness and influencing factors of college teachers in Jinan,and analyzes the collected data.The study found that the average number of ideal children of college teachers is 1.53,which is dominated by one or two;birth spacing is mainly 2-5 years;gender preference is weakened;fertility goals are more emotional and less traditional.Existing children,health status,school types,annual family income,pension insurance,etc.have an impact on the number of ideal children;education,existing children,loans,parents’ health,Whether parents provide financial assistance,medical insurance,and maternity insurance,unit leadership attitude,maternity leave durationhave an impact on birth spacing;whether they are only children,whether they have loans,father’s physical condition,pension insurance,maternity insurance,social welfare system,basic education facilities,projects and project application have an impact on Gender preferences.At the same time,in response to factors affecting the birth of college teachers,the government provides corresponding policy recommendations from the four levels of itself,families,universities and countries to enhance the fertility willingness of college teachers.
