Proper physical exercise is an important way to keep health. In modern life, the concept of active health has been deeply rooted in the mind of the people, and people are gradually beginning to do some sports or exercise to prevent chronic diseases, enhance physical fitness and improve mental health. However, parks are,in fact,an important place of leisure and sports activities for residents.Parks provides venues and equipment for residents walking, jogging, rope skipping and doing other sports. At the same time, the park is also a place for citizens to do some social interaction with their friends or neighbor. Therefore, parks play an active role in promoting physical activities and meeting some mental needs of residents. In the dissertation, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park rebuilt after the2012 London Olympic Games is selected as the research object.By using the methods of literature review, field survey, interview, questionnaire,IPA analysis and logical analysis, this paper evaluates the importance perception and satisfaction of each characteristic index of the park. Finally, the dissertation summarizes and analyses the existing problems and successful experience of the park,in order to provide theoretical and practical guidance for the design and improvement of urban parks in China, and also provide some references for the reconstruction, renewal and planning and utilization of some parks in China and other countries after mega games. The following conclusions are drawn after the survey on the satisfaction of users of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park:(1)The sample population of the questionnaire has a similar proportion of males and females and a good age structure. Most of them are nearby residents and most of them are childless, which conforms to the general law of distribution of demographic characteristics.Among them, the most people exercise in the park once or twice a week, accounting for 30%,and the least people exercise in the park less than once a month, accounting for 8%.When exercising in the park, most park users choose jogging, walking, cycling, swimming and tennis, while a few choose basketball and yoga.(2)Park users are satisfied with the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The order of satisfaction value of each single dimension is: the satisfaction value of sports facilities and equipment in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park > the satisfaction value of supporting facilities and equipment > the satisfaction value of events or sports activities > the satisfaction value of related services.(3)The IPA method is used to analyze 21 characteristic indicators in four dimensions.Among them,9 indicators are the advantages of the park, including the open green space, the creative design and construction quality, the convenience of transportation, the lighting system, the diversity of sessions, the cleaning service, the mobile signals and the suitable time of sports sessions;5 indicators are the need for timely improvement of the park.Features, including the rationality of the price of events, toilet facilities, road guides, security services and restaurants in the park;5 indicators are low-level priority development features, including bath facilities, information consulting services, professionalism of sports coaches, slogans and accommodation around the park;the remaining 4 indicators are to maintain the status quo characteristics, including the number of park venues and sports facilities, shopping and entertainment centers around the park.Based on the results and conclusions, the suggestions of this study are as follows: Keep up developing the advantageous features;Improve the level and quality of park related services, especially the toilet facilities, security services, road signs and restaurant and at the same time, the price of events should be rationalized; It is also suggested that the construction and development of the Olympic park and the venues after mega events in China could learn from the park: taking advantages of existing venues and facilities, upgrading the original functions, developing the quality and level of related services, and avoiding the waste of resources.
