Orff music education was introduced to China in the 1980s.And it is applied into the infant enlightenment education,the primary and secondary schools music education,piano education and other related fields.In recent years,it has been widely disseminated all over the country,and obtained the attention and recognition of music education experts.Meanwhile,it has brought important enlightenments to the Chinese music educators and provided rich and varied teaching forms,and constantly promoted the reformation and development of the music education in China.Orff music education concept makes us fully realize that the music education should not be a single learning of the music knowledge,but it should start from the students themselves,and enlighten students to carry out the music learning in the most natural states and then make them master the music knowledge.Apply the Orff Schulwerk and focus on the students' interests then design and organize the teaching practice activities which students are willing to participate in.Through the language,action,musical instruments and other diverse forms of teaching,the students can take the initiative to participate in the music class activities,so that students are good at expressing their own rich feelings and ideas.The rhythm is one of the most effective means to develop students' music perception abilities and creative abilities,and in the music education,the rhythm teaching cannot be ignored.This paper takes the rhythm as the starting point,and combines the language,movement,musical instrument and the rhythm closely together through the Orff Schulwerk,in order to fiilly train the students' sense of rhythn,inspire the students1 expression and creativity,and thus improve the students' music attainments.This paper is mainly divided into four sections.The first section is the introduction which explains the research background,research significance and research objectives of this subject,and then it introduces the research methods of this paper which takes the junior middle school students as the research object to conduct the subject research,and goes through the research present situations of Orff Schulwerk of both home and abroad.The second section is an overview of Orff Schulwerk,which explores the conceptions and characteristics of Orff Schulwerk,and it analyzes the importance of rhythm in the music teaching.The third section is the focus of this paper,which mainly studies the application of rhythm Orff Schulwerk in the junior middle school music classes.The language,momentum,musical instruments and rhythm are combined closely together,through substantial teaching examples and the teaching objectives,teaching proeesses and other aspects,the rhythm teaching methods and processes are explained to achieve the goals of this subject research.In the last section of this paper,the limitation and prospect are further introduced.
