In the context of innovation driven development as a national strategy,the key to the advancement of science and technology and the upgrading of economic transformation lies in innovative talents,and the key to the cultivation of innovative talents lies in the innovation education.As an interdisciplinary education concept for cultivating innovative talents,STEAM education plays an important and positive role in promoting students' knowledge integration and innovation and improving students' comprehensive practical ability.The implementation of STEAM interdisciplinary curriculum usually requires the integration of related knowledge contents through project tasks based on technology courses.At present,the development of comprehensive technical courses based on STEAM education in primary and secondary schools in China is still in the exploration stage,and there are still some problems,such as lack of curriculum resources,single teaching mode and incomplete evaluation system.Based on this,this study takes the Scratch creative programming course in junior high school as an example.Based on the theory of project learning and game learning,this study has designed and developed the creative programming course in junior middle school from the aspects of teaching content,teaching process and teaching resources,and carried out a semester's teaching practice for the junior middle school students in Grade Two.On this basis,the innovation ability evaluation model based on thinking guided map is constructed and the questionnaire survey is carried out to evaluate and analyze the students' innovation ability and teaching effect.The paper is divided into the following five main parts:The first part outlines the research background,purpose and significance,contents and methods.The second part introduces the concepts related to this study,and reviews the domestic and foreign research status of STEAM education and primary and secondary school programming education through literature research.The third part mainly studies the teaching design of creative programming course in junior high school based on STEAM education,including the teaching theory basis,theteaching design principle,the front end analysis,the teaching content design,the teaching process design and so on.In the fourth part,the teaching practice of creative programming course in junior middle school based on STEAM education is elaborated in detail,including conditions preparation,case practice,innovation ability evaluation and teaching effect analysis.This paper mainly introduces the construction and validity analysis of the evaluation model of innovative ability based on mind map,and applies this model to evaluate students' innovative ability.The fifth part summarizes the research results,summarizes the innovation and shortcomings,and looks forward to the follow-up research.The research results show that the evaluation model proposed in this study is effective,and it can quantify students' innovation ability.At the same time,creative programming courses based on STEAM education can improve students' interest in programming learning,cultivate students' creative thinking and logical thinking ability,promote students' learning and comprehensive application of interdisciplinary knowledge,and help to enhance students' ability to communicate and cooperate.
