The focus of quality education in China is to train students ’practical ability and innovation and entrepreneurship.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,it pays more attention to the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking ability.Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology in the world,the innovation talented person’s demand growing,cultivating innovative talents is the common goal of all countries in the world development.Our country is in the stage of social development and transformation,the traditional test-oriented education can no longer meet the needs of social development,and needs to be transformed into quality education that emphasizes comprehensive ability and innovative ability.As a new education mode,Maker Education can cultivate students’ various abilities,such as practical ability and innovative ability.This study is based on the mBlock programming robot course of a junior high school.It is a maker teaching design for training students’ innovative thinking ability and the teaching practice time is one semester.By comparing students ’pretest and post-test scores of creative power table and learning The situation questionnaire and the results of after-class interviews were used for experimental analysis.Based on the actual teaching situation of two classes,two research questions are put forward: 1.How to conduct teaching design for mBlock graphic programming robot based on the concept of maker education? 2.What kind of teaching effect will be produced after teaching under the guidance of such teaching design? Can it promote the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking ability?The research revolves around these two issues,using the methods of literature research,action research,questionnaire survey and interview.Firstly,the domestic and foreign maker education related literature are analyzed and sorted out.It was found that the maker education studied in China is innovation education,which focuses on cultivating students’ innovative thinking,and it also determines the focus of this study.Secondly,in the aspect of teaching practice,students’ knowledge level is understood through follow-up classes and interviews with the instructors,continue to improve the teaching design through action research methods and prepare the materials needed for teaching development,and finally carry out teaching practice.After analyzing the experimental data and interview results,it is found that the total score of students’ creativity has improved significantly after the experiment.In the remaining four dimensions,imagination and challenge have changed significantly,and students prefer this teaching method shows that the teaching design based on the maker education concept can promote the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking ability.
