"Since war begins in the mind of man,it is necessary to build a belief in the protection of peace in the mind of man" was the original idea when UNESCO launched the education for international understanding.With the development of the times,the concept of peace in education for International understanding still exists,and it gradually assumes the responsibility of cultivating global talents with global vision and the ability to coexist with different cultures.The education for international understanding in Japan started early,and later developed rapidly under the background of domestic multi-culture and the support of all parties.At present,the education for international understanding in Japan is gradually popularized in primary and secondary schools,and the practice methods are more diversified.This study aims to comb comprehensively the process of development of Japan's education for international understanding in the 21st century,explore the way the practice of education for International Understanding of primary and secondary schools in Japan,analyze its practice characteristics,and be based on fully understanding the status and problems of education for international understanding in our country,it can provide reference and enlightenment on the Practice of the education for international understanding in China.This research mainly adopts literature research method,comparative research method and case study method,which is divided into seven parts.The introduction mainly expounds the reason and significance of selecting the education for international understanding of Japanese primary and secondary schools as the research object,defines the concept and differentiates relevant concepts on the basis of combing and summarizing the relevant research status at home and abroad,and introduces the main research methods of this paper.The first chapter mainly combs and analyses the background and current situation of the education for International Understanding in Japan since the 21st century.The second chapter mainly introduces the goal and content of education for international understanding by referring to the research of Japan international understanding association.The third chapter is the main part of this paper.It analyses the practical ways of the education for International Understanding in Japan.It is divided into five aspects:participating in project cooperation of international organizations,infiltrating the concept of education for international understanding through subject teaching,carrying out direct activities of experiencing different cultures,constructing the subject curriculum of education for international understanding,and developing teaching materials related to education for international understanding.The fourth chapter mainly selects representative schools of education for International understanding in Japan for case analysis.The fifth chapter analyzes the characteristics of the practice of the education for International understanding in Japan.The sixth chapter mainly combine the development present situation and the main question of the education for International understanding of schools in China,draws lessons from the practice of the education for International understanding in Japanese primary and secondary schools,and draw inspiration from the education for International understanding of primary and secondary schools in China.
