The implementation of inequality admission policy monopolizes the excellent students perennially and makes all the education resources of the whole locality serve the one key high schools.After years of vicious cycling,other schools in the area have been reduced to weak ones,and they have to face the situation of the students5 unwilling to go,teachers' unwilling to stay,no-confidence parents and the poor social reputations.Their failure to be transformed in a timely and effective manner,should not only cause serious waste of social resources,but also violate the original intention of educational fairness and quality improvement.Under the circumstances of the state promoting the quality and balanced development of schools,it is of practical significance to make study of improving the weak schools.In the way of case study,this study chooses A High School,which is located and a representative one of most weak schools in Henan province as the research object,and analyzes the status quo of teachers,students,curriculum and management of it.From the school itself,the study chooses the variable of teachers teaching,which is easier to grasp and improve at present,as the start point to establish the improvement method aiming to improve the teaching effectiveness of teachers.Through participating in the collective lesson preparation,teaching and research activities of teachers in the A High School and participating in class,the existing problems in teaching were be found out.There are six parts included in this thesis as following.To begin with,introduction,that is illustrating the problems cause and explaining the research significance from the both aspects of theory and practice,which based on the analysis of the social reality problem.Besides,the boundary is determined after combining the domestic and foreign scholars' achievement of weak school improvement,and the concept of weak-school and school-improvement are also defined,and so do the research ideas and methods.Then,theoretical framework,which including four theories,such as the Bloom's theory effective teaching,Edmonds's theory effective school,the four models of American school improvement and the reconstruction theory of Ye Lan new elementary school.Moreover,description of status quo of the A High School through the investigation from the school,including the number,structure and professional qualities of teachers,the source quality of students,management,and curriculum,and taking the school reality in consideration,the most reasonable object--teaching,made as key variable.Besides,elaborates weak teaching of teachers.Through in-depth field investigation,the common problems of teachers in A school in teaching were found.The crux of the problems are concentrated on four aspects including teaching motivation,teaching design,teaching implementation and teaching reflection.In addition,the author mainly analyzes the practical path of improvement for A High School.On the one hand,the confidence of teachers should promote in the way of school management;on the other hand,aiming at the existing problems in teaching,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions of learning situation analysis,teaching preparation and teaching activities,with the purpose of improving teaching effectiveness and promoting the development for both teachers and students.Last but not least,conclusion,making a retrospection of the research and pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of the thesis.
