Experimental Study On The Effect Of Mindfulness Yoga On College Students' Anxiety Psychology

As a special and crucial group,the mental health problems of college students are generally concerned by the national and the educational communities.The rate of anxiety disorders in China is 4.98%,and the detection rate of college students' anxiety is 20%-30%.Anxiety has become one of the main factors affecting college students' normal life.More and more interventions for college students' mental health have developed currently.That what kind of effective measures can alleviate the anxiety of college students is one of the urgent problems for the society and colleges to solve.Studies have found that both mindfulness and yoga can reduce the anxiety level of the human body,however,few studies are made on mindfulness yoga that combines mindfulness with yoga together,which is an effective way to ease the anxiety.In this study,the mechanism and effect of mindfulness yoga on reducing anxiety level and improving mindfulness level were explored by questionnaires and experiments.In this study,the yoga class and the body class of public physical education elective course for undergraduates in Nanning Normal University were taken as the research objects and a survey was based on this.Then the subjects were divided into experimental group and control group for mindfulness yoga training intervention.There were 30 people in each group.A group training of mindfulness yoga which based on mindfulness cognition therapy was developed.The students in the experimental group was trained in mindfulness yoga once a week for 90 minutes for one semester.According to the experimental results,the state anxiety(p?0.05)and anxiety lever(p?0.05)of the subjects were significantly lower after mindfulness yoga training,both the effect sizes were relatively high(d?0.8),while the trait anxiety(p?0.05)had not changed much,the effect size was quite low(d=0.22);mindfulness level(p?0.05)of the subjects was significantly raised and the effect size was very high(d?0.8).Through the experimental study of mindfulness yoga training intervention,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Mindfulness yoga training can effectively alleviate the level of state anxiety and anxiety of college students,but it has limited impact on the level of trait anxiety.(2)Mindfulness yoga training can improve the level of college students' mindfulness effectively.The higher the level of mindfulness,the more they can adapt themselves to the environment and maintain their mental health.The improvement of mindfulness plays a key role in alleviating anxiety.(3)The mindfulness yoga training method designed in this study integrates mindfulness and yoga,which is easy to be accepted by college students,and can be used for reference and application in college psychological teaching and physical education teaching.
