Online learning,as a new way of learning in the information age,can break through the limitations of traditional learning in time and space.With its advantages such as flexibility of learning arrangement,personalizatio n of learning process and richness of learning resources,online learning has been widely concerned and applied in the field of education.However,in practice,there are many problems in online learning,resulting weak learning effect.In view of this,from the perspective of collective intelligence,this study specifically classifies online learning activities,analyzes the functional attributes of each type of activity,and designs online learning activities based on collective intelligence to improve the online learning effect.This study expounds the development,connotation,generation process and influencing factors of collective intelligence,and demonstrates the feasibility of using collective intelligence to guide the design of online learning activities.Based on the collective intelligence theory,this study points out that the design of online learning activities should follow the principles of subjective,specific,interactive and open.On the basis of this,a design model of online learning activities based on collective intelligence is constructed.This model includes preparation phase,implementation phase and evaluation phase.According to the generation process of collective intelligence,we put forward four types of online learning activities which are individuality-shared,interaction-communicating,integration-convergent and creation-generative.Different types of online learning activities have different teaching strategies and teaching methods.Therefore,the study carried out specific process of the activity for each type of online learning activities.According to the process of activity,the research takes the "I ntroduction to Education Technology " online course on Moodle platform as the implementation environment,and the freshman majors in education technology as the implementation object,and carries on the implementation and the effect inspection to the online learning activities which is based on the collective intelligence.Through the statistical analysis of Moodle platform data and interviews with learners,it is proved that the four online learning activities designed by this research based on collective intelligence are reasonable and effective,and the expected learning effect achieved.
