In the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to strengthen cultural self-confidence and promote the prosperity of socialist culture.Culture is the soul of a country and a nation.The cultivation of cultural self-confidence should start from an early age,which is inseparable from the role of education.Among them,Chinese textbooks can carry Tao and poetry can express ambition,which is one of the most important carriers to inherit and carry forward excellent culture.This study starts from the perspective of cultural self-confidence,including five parts: The first part is an analysis of cultural self-confidence and elementary school language textbooks.It includes the outline of relevant concepts,the determination of the analytical dimension of "cultural self-confidence" and the basis for choosing textbooks of different editions;the second part carries out macro-statistics and micro-interpretation of the content selection of "cultural self-confidence" in three sets of primary school Chinese textbooks published by the People’s Education Press from the vertical comparison level;the third part,from the horizontal comparison level,carries on the language textbooks edited by the Su Education Press,the Peking Normal University Press and the Ministry In the fourth part,on the basis of the previous statistical analysis,it reveals that compared with other textbooks published by other people,the compiled textbooks in the following aspects are persistent: attaching importance to the inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture;adhering to classics in revolutionary culture;and attaching importance to patriotic and foreign cultural education in advanced socialist culture;The following aspects have evolved: the Chinese excellent traditional culture has been strengthened and improved;the weakening and authenticity of the selected articles of revolutionary culture;the optimization and correction of the advanced socialist culture.Itfinds the commonness of three versions of textbooks by horizontal comparison: insisting on carrying forward national spirit and inheriting excellent culture;paying little attention to revolutionary culture;paying attention to patriotic education and foreign culture in the advanced socialist culture;and the individuality of three versions of textbooks: different emphasis on the selection and compilation of excellent traditional Chinese culture;different measurement of selected articles of revolutionary culture;and advanced socialist culture.In the fifth part,the author summarizes the advantages of the compilation of cultural self-confidence content in primary school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry: the superiority of the compilation method;the rich diversity and balanced distribution of Chinese excellent traditional culture;the simplification of the selection of revolutionary culture,returning to the original;and the integrity and innovation of the selection of socialist culture.But there are also some shortcomings: the content of traditional culture can be more abundant,the system is insufficient,there are some problems in the selection and compilation of ancient poetry;insufficient attention is paid to the education of revolutionary culture;fewer articles reflect the environment protection and the times in the aspect of advanced socialist culture.The author puts forward the corresponding suggestions: enriching the content of traditional culture,strengthening the systematicness,focusing on elaborating its modern significance and increasing moderately modern works containing traditional cultural factors;increasing moderately selected articles of revolutionary culture;making up for the vacancies in selected articles of advanced social culture.
