Academic delay of gratification is the choice orientation that students are willing to give up instant gratification for more valuable long-term results in the learning situation,and the self-control ability shown during the waiting period.The ability of academic delay of gratification not only has an important impact on students'academic achievement,but also on children's lifelong development.With the development of the times and the renewal of educational concepts,people are increasingly aware of the need to cultivate students' good academic delay of gratification ability.Academic delay of gratification ability is largely influenced by students' life environment,especially family environment.Parental style plays a vital role in children's development and growth.Studying is the main task of students' life.Different ways of parental style always make students show different academic emotions,positive or negative.Different academic emotions directly affect students'academic delay of satisfaction.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between parental style,Academic Emotion and academic delay of gratification,and to test the predictive effect of parental style on Academic Emotion and academic delay of gratification.In this study,337 pupils from 10 classes in grade 3,4 and 5 of a primary school in He ping District of Tianjin were selected as the subjects.The relationship between parental style,Academic Emotion and academic delay of gratification was tested by using the Parental Rearing Style Scale,Academic Emotion Scale and Academic Delay of Satisfaction Scale.And discuss.The results show that:(1)Among the parental style that students experience,the positive ones such as warmth,understanding and preference are obviously higher than the negative ones such as punishment,severity,excessive interference and refusal to deny.Students also experience more positive academic emotions than negative ones.(2)Positive parental style is positively correlated with positive academic emotions and negatively correlated with negative academic emotions;negative parental style is negatively correlated with positive academic emotions and positively correlated with negative academic emotions.Academic delay of gratification is positively correlated with positive parental style and positive academic mood,and negatively correlated with negative parental style and negative academic mood.(3)Parental style can partly predict academic emotions and academic delay of gratification.
