This study aims to explore the relationship between junior high school students'academic delayed gratification,grit personality and parenting style,in order to understand the psychological characteristics of junior high school students better,as well as the characteristics and trends of changes in various variables among the three years of junior high school.This study also includes using group counseling to improve junior high school students' grit personality and academic delay gratification ability,which provides reference for family and school educational practice.This article first sorts out the related literature on academic delayed gratification,grit personality and parenting style,group counseling intervention.The coming research questions,goals and hypotheses are posted,basing on the basis of previous studies.This research includes three sub-studies:study one,revising the research tools;study two,exploring the relationship between delayed gratification,grit personality and parenting styles of junior high school students;study three,exploring the method of building grit personality of junior high school students.Based on the results of statistical analysis,the article draws the following research conclusions:Research 1.The revised "Academic delayed gratification Scale for middle school Students" includes 9 items,basing on a clear two-dimensional structure.It's good reliability and accuracy allows it to be used in future research.Research 2.The junior high school students' delayed gratification,grit personality and parenting styles have significant differences in variables such as grade and whether they are the only child in family.Among them,girls' academic delayed gratification scores are significantly higher than boys',and girls more frequent be overprotected by their fathers;the only child's academic delayed gratification scores are significantly lower than those of non-only children,and only children feel warm parenting more often;the scores of academic delay gratification and girt personality of student cadres are significantly higher than those of non-student cadres.Student cadres experience more warm parenting styles and fewer rejections;Both of the grit personality and academic delayed gratification decreased with age,the rejection and over-protective parenting behavior of mothers gradually increased,while the warm parenting style of parents gradually decreased.There is a significant correlation between the delayed academic gratification,grit personality and parenting styles of junior high school students;the grit personality of junior high school students plays an intermediary role in the delayed gratification of academic and parenting style.Research 3.Group counseling for the improvement of academic delayed gratification work effectively,but due to the limited times of interventions,the increase in scores before and after the experimental group did not reach a significant difference.
