Imagery is the basic element of poetry.The structure and composition of inagery,as well as the emotions attached to the imagery itself,affect the artistic beauty of poetry.Animal imagery is an important part of the classical poetry image system.Among the poems selected by the PEP edition of Chinese textbooks for high schools,more than half of the poems involving animal images are used.The teaching of animal image in such poems is mainly composed of four parts.The introduction part of the article contains three main contents:first,defining the meaning of image and animal image;second,analyzing the necessity of animal image teaching research from the perspective of students' learning needs and the requirements of new curriculum standards;third,briefly analyzing the current situation of alimal image teaching.Finally,the research method of this paper is introduced.The first chapter mainly summarizes the basic situation of animal imagery in classical Chinese poetry from the two aspects of category and connotation.Firstly,the paper talks about the classification of animal images.According to the existence of objective reality,the animal image is divided into two categories:animals in reality and animals in the imaginary world.Animals that exist in reality are divided into birds,mammals,insects and fish according to their respective species properties.Secondly,on the basis of the existing classification,the main connotation of each animal image involved in the Chinese textbook is briefly combed and analyzed,and then the richness,agreement and integrity of the animal image connotation are discussed.The second chapter discusses the current situation of animal image teaching in Chinese teaching in middle schools.By sorting out and analyzing the questionnaires,this paper points out that there are five problems in the current image teaching of poetry(especially animal image teaching):lack of explanation of image concept,neglect of animal image teaching,lack of induction and arrangement,lack of systematic interpretation of image connotation,and relatively single teaching form.The third chapter puts forward some strategies and methods for animal image teaching in order to solve the problems in animal image teaching:first,strengthen the concept teaching of the subject;second,observe the sensory teaching;third,association,imaginative teaching;fourth,traceability migration teaching;five,group-based contrast teaching;six,task-based teaching;seven,interdisciplinary integrated teaching.The seven suggestions put forward in this paper are aimed at helping students mobilize their subjective initiative in the process of learning and letting them participate in the development and research of learning content,so as to gradually develop students'language subject thinking from shallow to deep.
