In this study,literature,questionnaires,interviews and statistical analysis were used to study the current situation of dance teaching in poor counties of Shaoyang City.The results showed that:(1)No special dance course has been offered in 20 ordinary high schools in poor counties of Shaoyang City.Only a small number of teachers in a few schools will teach specialized dance courses in art courses..(2)Through the comprehensive analysis of questionnaires among senior high school students in three poverty-stricken counties of Shaoyang City,Longhui No.1 Middle School,Wugang No.10 Middle School and Wugang Zhanhui School,it is found that most of the students have not been exposed to dance and accepted dance teaching.Most parents and class teachers are biased against dance to a certain extent,and think that dance learning association.In addition,most parents and head teachers support their children or students to learn dance more because learning dance can add points to college entrance examination,and they do not fully understand the essential changes that dance can bring to children or students;most students like dancing and are eager to learn at the same time.Studying dancing,I think that when the pressure is high,dancing can relieve pressure,cheer up mood,improve artistic accomplishment,cultivate temperament,and also add points for college entrance examination.(3)By investigating the reasons why 20 ordinary high schools in poor counties of Shaoyang City do not offer specialized dance courses,the author finds that the shortage of teachers is the main reason for the lack of dance courses in ordinary high schools in poor counties of Shaoyang City.The second reason is that the leaders do not pay enough attention to it.In addition,the implementation of dance teaching equipment in schools is imperfect and students lack.Problems such as high interest or learning pressure and heavy workload of professional teachers are also common.(4)The great role and significance of dance teaching in senior high school education in poor counties of Shaoyang City are mainly embodied in five aspects:improving physical quality;expanding knowledge and improving self-cultivation;improving aesthetic ability,imagination and creativity;improving dance skills;enhancing students'spiritual will and moral sentiment.(5)To solve the problems of dance teaching in senior high schools in poor counties of Shaoyang City,we need to increase the introduction and training of professional teachers,strengthen the attention of school leaders and teachers to dance teaching,strengthen the cultivation of curriculum awareness,and establish correct teaching concepts.
