Based on the teacher-student cooperation and the cooperation between students themselves,the group cooperative learning is in the form of group cooperation and based on mutual evaluation of the group and the group assessment.This learning method can enable students to experience the fun of learning and the value of themselves in the way of group-cooperation and group-communication,during which students can develop their interest in chemistry learning,cooperation awareness,cooperation ability and of course their chemistry grades.This paper focuses on researching the application of group cooperative learning in high school chemistry teaching.Firstly,it expounds the situation of cooperative learning at home and abroad.Combined with the school teaching in China,it puts forward the problems existing in traditional teaching and the advantages of group cooperative learning.And it also contains a further elaboration of the supplement the cooperative learning has on traditional teaching.The thesis also studies the concepts,elements and evaluation methods of group cooperative learning.In this paper,two classes of the same level in the first year of Attached Middle School of Ningxia University are selected to be the research object to carry out the research of group cooperative learning.Firstly,use the questionnaire-survey method to conduet a pretest on students' interest in chemical learning,cooperation awareness and cooperation ability.Secondly,have students' chemistry entrance scores in the way of independent-test method.Then,during the group cooperation,the effects of the cooperative learning of the students are tested by the in-class test and the periodical achievement test.Finally,after a semester of the group cooperation learning,a questionnaire is used to test the students' interest in chemistry learning,students'cooperation awareness and cooperation ability.The conclusions of the study are obtained by analyzing the data of pretest and the test after a term's learning.The results are as follows:(1)There is a significant increase in interest in chemistry learning among students in the experimental class.(2)Students' chemistry academic performance has been greatly improved.(3)Students' cooperation awareness and cooperation ability in chemistry learning have been greatly improved.After a semester of practical research,group cooperative learning not only has no neqative impact on students' grades,but also can effectively improve students' academic performance,as well as improving students' interest in learning,and effectively improve the situations that students do not want to listen to the teacher in class or have difficulties in understanding.Meanwhile,it can cultivate students' cooperative awareness and cooperation ability,and develop students' interest in chemistry learning,which significantly solves the problems existing in traditional teaching and meets the requirements of new curriculum standards for chemistry teaching and the requirements of talent training in the new era.Although the group cooperative learning is proved to be a great success,there are still many problems and for a better development of cooperative learning,our joint efforts are required.
